Kanzul Iman — English

The way (of reproach) is only against those who seek exemption from you although they are rich; they preferred to be with the women who stay behind – and Allah has sealed their hearts, so they do not know anything.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

مؤاخذہ تو ان سے ہے جو تم سے رخصت مانگتے ہیں اور وہ دولت مند ہیں (ف۲۰۸) انہیں پسند آیا کہ عورتوں کے ساتھ پیچھے بیٹھ رہیں اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کردی تو وہ کچھ نہیں جانتے (ف۲۰۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

They will make excuses to you when you return to them; say, “Do not make excuses – we shall never believe you – Allah has given us your tidings; and Allah and His Noble Messenger will now see your deeds, and then you will return to Him Who knows everything, the hidden and the visible – He will inform you of all what you used to do.”

تم سے بہانے بنائیں گے (ف۲۱۰) جب تم ان کی طرف لوٹ کر جاؤ گے تم فرمانا ، بہانے نہ بناؤ ہم ہرگز تمہارا یقین نہ کریں گے اللہ نے ہمیں تمہاری خبریں دے دی ہیں، اور اب اللہ و رسول تمہارے کام دیکھیں گے (ف۲۱۱) پھر اس کی طرف پلٹ کر جاؤ گے جو چھپے اور ظاہر سب کو جانتا ہے وہ تمہیں جتادے گا جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے،

Kanzul Iman — English

They will now swear by Allah before you, when you return to them, in order that you do not pay attention to them; so do not bother about them; they are indeed filthy; and their destination is hell; the reward of what they used to earn.

اب تمہارے آگے اللہ کی قسمیں کھائیں گے جب (ف۲۱۲) تم ان کی طرف پلٹ کر جاؤ گے اس لیے کہ تم ان کے خیال میں نہ پڑو (ف۲۱۳) تو ہاں تم ان کا خیال چھوڑو (ف۲۱٤) وہ تو نرے پلید ہیں (ف۲۱۵) اور ان کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے بدلہ اس کا جو کماتے تھے (ف۲۱٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

They swear before you that you may be pleased with them; so if you become pleased with them, then indeed Allah will never be pleased with the sinful.

تمہارے آگے قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ تم ان سے راضی ہوجاؤ تو اگر تم ان سے راضی ہوجاؤ (ف۲۱۷) تو بیشک اللہ تو فاسق لوگوں سے راضی نہ ہوگا (ف۲۱۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

The ignorant are more severe in disbelief and hypocrisy, and deserve to remain ignorant of the commands which Allah has revealed to His Noble Messenger; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.

گنوار (ف۲۱۹) کفر اور نفاق میں زیادہ سخت ہیں (ف۲۲۰) اور اسی قابل ہیں کہ اللہ نے جو حکم اپنے رسول پر اتارے اس سے جاہل رہیں، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And some of the ignorant are those who when spending in Allah's cause consider it a ransom, and await the coming of the cycles (of misfortunes) upon you; upon them only is the evil cycle of misfortune; and Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing.

اور کچھ گنوار وہ ہیں کہ جو اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کریں تو اسے تاوان سمجھیں (ف۲۲۱) اور تم پر گردشیں آنے کے انتظار میں رہیں (ف۲۲۲) انہیں پر ہے بری گردش (ف۲۲۳) اور اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And some villagers are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and consider the spending as the means of obtaining proximity to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Noble Messenger; pay heed! Yes indeed it is the means of proximity for them; Allah will soon admit them into His mercy; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

اور کچھ گاؤں والے وہ ہیں جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں (ف۲۲٤) اور جو خرچ کریں اسے اللہ کی نزدیکیوں اور رسول سے دعائیں لینے کا ذریعہ سمجھیں (ف۲۲۵) ہاں ہاں وہ ان کے لیے باعث قرب ہے اللہ جلد انہیں اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرے گا، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And leading everyone, the first are the Muhajirs* and the Ansar**, and those who followed them with virtue – Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has kept ready for them Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in it for ever and ever; this is the greatest success. (* The immigrants. **Those who helped the immigrants.)

اور سب میں اگلے پہلے مہاجر (ف۲۲٦) اور انصار (ف۲۲۷) اور جو بھلائی کے ساتھ ان کے پیرو ہوئے (ف۲۲۸) اللہ ان سے راضی (ف۲۲۹) اور وہ اللہ سے راضی اور ان کے لیے تیار کر رکھے ہیں باغ جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں، یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And some of the illiterates around you are hypocrites; and some of the people of Medinah; hypocrisy has become ingrained in them; you do not know them*; We know them; We shall soon punish them twice** – they will then be consigned towards the terrible punishment.*** (*Until now or as well as We do. ** In life and in the grave *** of hell.)

اور تمہارے آس پاس (ف۲۳۱) کے کچھ گنوار منافق ہیں، اور کچھ مدینہ والے، ان کی خو ہوگئی ہے نفاق، تم انہیں نہیں جانتے، ہم انھیں جانتے ہیں (ف۲۳۲) جلد ہم انہیں دوبارہ (ف۲۳۳) عذاب کریں گے پھر بڑے عذاب کی طرف پھیرے جائیں گے (ف۲۳٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

And there are others who have acknowledged their sins and mixed a good deed with another that was bad; it is likely that Allah will accept their repentance; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

اور کچھ اور ہیں جو اپنے گناہوں کے مقر ہوئے (ف۲۳۵) اور ملایا ایک کام اچھا (ف۲۳٦) اور دوسرا بڑا (ف۲۳۷) قریب ہے کہ اللہ ان کی توبہ قبول کرے، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) take the obligatory charity from their wealth, by which you may cleanse them and make them pure, and pray in their favour; indeed your prayer is the contentment of their hearts; and Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing.

اے محبوب! ان کے مال میں سے زکوٰة تحصیل کرو جس سے تم انھیں ستھرا اور پاکیزہ کردو اور ان کے حق میں دعائے خیر کرو (ف۲۳۸) بیشک تمہاری دعا ان کے دلوں کا چین ہے، اور اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Do they not know that Allah only accepts repentance of His bondmen and He takes the charity* and that Allah only is the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful? (* into His control.)

کیا انہیں خبر نہیں کہ اللہ ہی اپنے بندوں کی توبہ قبول کرتا اور صدقے خود اپنی دست قدرت میں لیتا ہے اور یہ کہ اللہ ہی توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے (ف۲۳۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

And say “Keep on with your works – Allah will now see your deeds, and so will His Noble Messenger and the Muslims; and soon you will return to the One Who knows everything – the hidden and the visible – so He will inform you of what you used to do.”

اور تم فرماؤ کام کرو اب تمہارے کام دیکھے گا اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور مسلمان، اور جلد اس کی طرف پلٹوگے جو چھپا اور کھلا سب جانتا ہے تو وہ تمہارے کام تمہیں جتاوے گا،

Kanzul Iman — English

And some are kept waiting for Allah’s command – He may punish them or accept their repentance; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.

اور کچھ (ف۲٤۰) موقوف رکھے گئے اللہ کے حکم پر، یا ان پر عذاب کرے یا ان کی توبہ قبول کرے (ف۲٤۱) اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And those (hypocrites) who built a mosque to cause harm, and due to disbelief, and in order to cause divisions among the Muslims, and to await the one who is at the outset an opponent of Allah and His Noble Messenger; and they will surely swear that “We wished only good”; and Allah is witness that they are indeed liars.

اور وہ جنہوں نے مسجد بنائی (ف۲٤۲) نقصان پہنچانے کو (ف۲٤۳) اور کفر کے سبب (ف۲٤٤) اور مسلمانوں میں تفرقہ ڈالنے کو (ف۲٤۵) اور اس کے انتظار میں جو پہلے سے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا مخالف ہے (ف۲٤٦) اور وہ ضرور قسمیں کھائیں گے ہم نے تو بھلائی چاہی، اور اللہ گواہ ہے کہ وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

Never stand (for worship) in that mosque*; indeed the mosque** that has been founded on piety from the very first day deserves that you should stand in it; in it are the people who wish to thoroughly cleanse themselves; and Allah loves the clean. (*The mosque built by the hypocrites. ** The mosque at Quba, built by the Holy Prophet and his companions. The merit of praying 2 Raka’ Nawafil in it is equal to the reward of an Umrah.)

اس مسجد میں تم کبھی کھڑے نہ ہونا، (ف۲٤۷) بیشک وہ مسجد کہ پہلے ہی دن سے جس کی بنیاد پرہیزگاری پر رکھی گئی ہے (ف۲٤۸) وہ اس قابل ہے کہ تم اس میں کھڑے ہو، اس میں وہ لوگ ہیں کہ خوب ستھرا ہونا چاہتے ہیں (ف۲٤۹) اور ستھرے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

So is one who established his foundation upon the fear of Allah and upon His pleasure better, or the one who laid his foundation upon the brink of a falling precipice, so it fell along with him into the fire of hell? And Allah does not guide the unjust.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو کیا جس نے اپنی بنیاد رکھی اللہ سے ڈر اور اس کی رضا پر (ف۲۵۰) وہ بھلا یا وہ جس نے اپنی نیو چنی ایک گراؤ (ٹوٹے ہوئے کناروں والے) گڑھے کے کنارے (ف۲۵۱) تو وہ اسے لے کر جہنم کی آگ میں ڈھے پڑا (ف۲۵۲) اور اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،

Kanzul Iman — English

The building which they erected will constantly keep disturbing their hearts unless their hearts are torn to pieces; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

وہ تعمیر جو چنی (کی) ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں میں کھٹکتی رہے گی (ف۲۵۳) مگر یہ کہ ان کے دل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوجائیں (ف۲۵٤) اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed Allah has purchased from the Muslims their lives and their wealth in exchange of Paradise for them; fighting in Allah's cause, slaying and being slain; a true promise incumbent upon His mercy, (mentioned) in the Taurat and the Injeel and the Qur’an; who fulfils His promise better than Allah? Therefore rejoice upon your deal that you have made with Him; and this is the great success.

بیشک اللہ نے مسلمانوں سے ان کے مال اور جان خریدلیے ہیں اس بدلے پر کہ ان کے لیے جنت ہے (ف۲۵۵) اللہ کی راہ میں لڑیں تو ماریں (ف۲۵٦) اور مریں (ف۲۵۷) اس کے ذمہ کرم پر سچا وعدہ توریت اور انجیل اور قرآن میں (ف۲۵۸) اور اللہ سے زیادہ قول کا پورا کون تو خوشیاں مناؤ اپنے سودے کی جو تم نے اس سے کیا ہے، اور یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Those who repent, those who worship, those who praise, those who fast, those who bow, those who prostrate, those who show right and forbid wrong and those who keep the limits of Allah in sight; and give glad tidings to the Muslims.

توبہ والے (ف۲۵۹) عبادت والے (ف۲٦۰) سراہنے والے (ف۲٦۱) روزے والے رکوع والے سجدہ والے (ف۲٦۲) بھلائی کے بتانے والے اور برائی سے روکنے والے اور اللہ کی حدیں نگاہ رکھنے والے (ف۲٦۳) اور خوشی سناؤ مسلمانوں (ف۲٦٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

It does not befit the Prophet and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of polytheists even if they may be their relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are the people of hell.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

نبی اور ایمان والوں کو لائق نہیں کہ مشرکوں کی بخشش چاہیں اگرچہ وہ رشتہ دار ہوں (ف۲٦۵) جبکہ انہیں کھل چکا کہ وہ دوزخی ہیں (ف۲٦٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

And the seeking of forgiveness for his father (paternal uncle) by Ibrahim was only because of a promise he had made to him; then when it became clear to him that he was an enemy of Allah, Ibrahim broke off ties with him; indeed Ibrahim is surely very soft-hearted, most forbearing.

اور ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ (ف۲٦۷) کی بخشش چاہنا وہ تو نہ تھا مگر ایک وعدے کے سبب جو اس سے کرچکا تھا (ف۲٦۸) پھر جب ابراہیم کو کھل گیا کہ وہ اللہ کا دشمن ہے اس سے تنکا توڑ دیا (لاتعلق ہوگیا) (ف۲٦۹) بیشک ابراہیم بہت آہیں کرنے والا (ف۲۷۰) متحمل ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And it does not befit Allah’s Majesty to send a nation astray after He has guided them until He has made clear to them what they should avoid; indeed Allah knows everything.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اللہ کی شان نہیں کہ کسی قوم کو ہدایت کرکے گمراہ فرمائے (ف۲۷۱) جب تک انہیں صاف نہ بتادے کہ کسی چیز سے انہیں بچنا ہے (ف۲۷۲) بیشک اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed for Allah only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and He gives death; and other than Allah, you have neither a Protector nor any Supporter.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی سلطنت، جِلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے، اور اللہ کے سوا نہ تمہارا کوئی والی اور نہ مددگار،

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed Allah’s mercy inclined towards the Herald of the Hidden, and the Muhajirs and the Ansar who stood by him in the time of hardship, after it was likely that the hearts of a group among them would turn away – He then inclined towards them with mercy; indeed He is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful upon them.

بیشک اللہ کی رحمتیں متوجہ ہوئیں ان غیب کی خبریں بتانے والے اور ان مہاجرین اور انصار پر جنہوں نے مشکل کی گھڑی میں ان کا ساتھ دیا (ف۲۷۳) بعد اس کے کہ قریب تھا کہ ان میں کچھ لوگوں کے دل پھر جائیں (ف۲۷٤) پھر ان پر رحمت سے متوجہ ہوا (ف۲۷۵) بیشک وہ ان پر نہایت مہربان رحم والا ہے

Kanzul Iman — English

And also upon the three who were kept in waiting; when the earth, vast as it is, was restricted for them, and they became weary of their own lives and became certain that there is no refuge from Allah except with Him; He then accepted their repentance in order that they remain repentant; indeed Allah is the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful.

اور ان تین پر جو موقوف رکھے گئے تھے (ف۲۷٦) یہاں تک کہ جب زمین اتنی وسیع ہو کر ان پر تنگ ہوگئی (ف۲۷۷) اور ہو اپنی جان سے تنگ آئے (ف۲۷۸) اور انہیں یقین ہوا کہ اللہ سے پناہ نہیں مگر اسی کے پاس ، پھر (ف۲۷۹) ان کی توبہ قبول کی کہ تائب رہیں، بیشک اللہ ہی توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! Fear Allah, and be with the truthful.

اے ایمان والو! اللہ سے ڈرو (ف۲۸۰) اور سچوں کے ساتھ ہو (ف۲۸۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

It did not befit the people of Medinah and the people of the villages around them, to stay behind the Noble Messenger of Allah, nor to consider their own lives dearer than his life; that is because the thirst or the pain or the hunger that afflicts them in Allah's cause, and the step they tread on a place that angers the disbelievers, and whatever harm they cause the enemy – a good deed is recorded for them in lieu of all of these; indeed Allah does not waste the wages of the virtuous.

مدینہ والوں (ف۲۸۲) اور ان کے گرد دیہات والوں کو لائق نہ تھا کہ رسول اللہ سے پیچھے بیٹھ رہیں (ف۲۸۳) اور نہ یہ کہ ان کی جان سے اپنی جان پیاری سمجھیں (ف۲۸٤) یہ اس لیے کہ انہیں جو پیاس یا تکلیف یا بھوک اللہ کی راہ میں پہنچتی ہے اور جہاں ایسی جگہ قدم رکھتے ہیں (ف۲۸۵) جس سے کافروں کو غیظ آئے اور جو کچھ کسی دشمن کا بگاڑتے ہیں (ف۲۸٦) اس سب کے بدلے ان کے لیے نیک عمل لکھا جاتا ہے (ف۲۸۷) بیشک اللہ نیکوں کا نیگ (اجر) ضائع نہیں کرتا،

Kanzul Iman — English

And whatever they spend, small or great, or any valley they cross – it is all recorded for them, so that Allah may reward them for their best deeds.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور جو کچھ خرچ کرتے ہیں چھوٹا (ف۲۸۸) یا بڑا (ف۲۸۹) اور جو نالا طے کرتے ہیں سب ان کے لیے لکھا جاتا ہے تاکہ اللہ ان کے سب سے بہتر کاموں کا انہیں صلہ دے (ف۲۹۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

And it is not possible for the Muslims that all of them go out; so it should be that a party from each group goes forth in order to gain knowledge in religion, and upon returning they warn their people in the hope that they may avoid.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور مسلمانوں سے یہ تو ہو نہیں سکتا کہ سب کے سب نکلیں (ف۲۹۱) تو کیوں نہ ہو کہ ان کے ہر گروہ میں سے (ف۲۹۲) ایک جماعت نکلے کہ دین کی سمجھ حاصل کریں اور واپس آکر اپنی قوم کو ڈر سنائیں (ف۲۹۳) اس امید پر کہ وہ بچیں (ف۲۹٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe – fight the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find severity in you, and know well that Allah is with the pious.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اے ايمان والوں جہاد کرو ان کافروں سے جو تمہارے قريب ہيں (ف۲۹۵) اور چاہیئے کہ وہ تم میں سختی پائیں، اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے (ف۲۹٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

And whenever a chapter is sent down, some of them say, “Whose faith among you has this promoted?” So it has promoted the faith of the believers and they are rejoicing!

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور جب کوئی سورت اترتی ہے تو ان میں کوئی کہنے لگتا ہے کہ اس نے تم میں کس کے ایمان کو ترقی دی (ف۲۹۷) تو وہ جو ایمان والے ہیں ان کے ایمان کو ترقی دی اور وہ خوشیاں منا رہے ہیں،

And for those in whose hearts is a disease, it has added filth to their filth, and they died as disbelievers.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور جن کے دلوں میں آزار ہے (ف۲۹۸) انہیں اور پلیدی پر پلیدی بڑھائی (ف۲۹۹) اور وہ کفر ہی پر مر گئے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Do they not observe that they are tested once or twice every year? Yet they do not repent, nor do they heed advice!

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

کیا انہیں (ف۳۰۰) نہیں سوجھتا کہ ہر سال ایک یا دو بار آزمائے جاتے ہیں (ف۳۰۱) پھر نہ تو توبہ کرتے ہیں نہ نصیحت مانتے ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

And whenever a chapter is sent down, one of them looks at the other; “Is there someone watching you?” – and then they turn away; Allah has inverted their hearts because they are a people who do not understand.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور جب کوئی سورت اترتی ہے ان میں ایک دوسرے کو دیکھنے لگتا ہے (ف۳۰۲) کہ کوئی تمہیں دیکھتا تو نہیں (ف۳۰۳) پھر پلٹ جاتے ہیں (ف۳۰٤) اللہ نے ان کے دل پلٹ دیئے ہیں (ف۳۰۵) کہ وہ ناسمجھ لوگ ہیں (ف۳۰٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed there has come to you a Noble Messenger from among you – your falling into hardship aggrieves him, most concerned for your well being, for the Muslims most compassionate, most merciful.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک تمہارے پاس تشریف لائے تم میں سے وہ رسول (ف۳۹۷) جن پر تمہارا مشقت میں پڑنا گراں ہے تمہاری بھلائی کے نہایت چاہنے والے مسلمانوں پر کمال مہربان مہربان (ف۳۰۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

Then if they turn away, say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Allah suffices me; there is no worship except for Him; only Him have I trusted, and He is the Lord Of The Great Throne.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

پھر اگر وہ منہ پھیریں (ف۳۰۹) تو تم فرمادو کہ مجھے اللہ کافی ہے اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں، میں نے اسی پر بھروسہ کیا اور وہ بڑے عرش کا مالک ہے (ف۳۱۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

Alif-Lam-Ra*; these are verses of the Book of wisdom. (*alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

یہ حکمت والی کتاب کی آیتیں ہیں،

Are people amazed that We have sent to a man among them, the divine revelation that “Warn the people and convey glad tidings to the believers that for them with their Lord is the place* of truth”? The disbelievers say, “Indeed he is an open magician.” (* Positions of honour on the Day of Resurrection or in heaven.)

کیا لوگوں کو اس کا اچنبا ہوا کہ ہم نے ان میں سے ایک مرد کو وحی بھیجی کہ لوگوں کو ڈر سناؤ (ف۲) اور ایمان والوں کو خوشخبری دو کہ ان کے لیے ان کے رب کے پاس سچ کا مقام ہے، کافر بولے بیشک یہ تو کھلا جادوگر ہے (ف۳)

Indeed your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then as befits His Majesty, established Himself upon the Throne* – He plans all matters; there is no intercessor except after His permission;* such is Allah, your Lord – therefore worship Him; so do you not ponder? (* Of Control over everything.** Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the first to be granted permission to intercede.)

بیشک تمہارا رب اللہ ہے جس نے آسمان اور زمین چھ دن میں بنائے پھر عرش پر استوا فرمایا جیسا اس کی شان کے لائق ہے کام کی تدبیر فرماتا ہے (ف٤) کوئی سفارشی نہیں مگر اس کی اجازت کے بعد (ف۵) یہ ہے اللہ تمہارا رب (ف٦) تو اس کی بندگی کرو تو کیا تم دھیان نہیں کرتے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Towards Him only you all are to return; the promise of Allah; indeed He creates for the first time and then after its extinction creates it again, in order to give those who believe and do good deeds, the reward of justice; and for the disbelievers, boiling water to drink and a painful punishment – the recompense of their disbelief.

اسی کی طرف تم سب کو پھرنا ہے (ف۷) اللہ کا سچا وعدہ بیشک وہ پہلی بار بناتا ہے پھر فنا کے بعد دوبارہ بنائے گا کہ ان کو جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے انصاف کا صلہ دے (ف۸) اور کافروں کے لیے پینے کو کھولتا پانی اور دردناک عذاب بدلہ ان کے کفر کا،

Kanzul Iman — English

It is He Who created the sun radiating and the moon shining and appointed positions for it, for you to know the number of the years, and the account; Allah has not created it except with the truth; He explains the verses in detail for the people of knowledge.

وہی ہے جس نے سورج کو جگمگاتا بنایا اور چاند چمکتا اور اس کے لیے منزلیں ٹھہرائیں (ف۹) کہ تم برسوں کی گنتی اور (ف۱۰) حساب جانو، اللہ نے اسے نہ بنایا مگر حق (ف۱۱) نشانیاں مفصل بیان فرماتا ہے علم والوں کے لیے (ف۱۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed in the alternation of the day and night, and all that Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, are signs for people who are pious.

بیشک رات اور دن کا بدلتا آنا اور جو کچھ اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین میں پیدا کیا ان میں نشانیاں ہیں ڈر والوں کے لیے،

Indeed those who do not expect to meet Us and have preferred the worldly life and are content with it, and those who neglect Our signs, –

بیشک وہ جو ہمارے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے (ف۱۳) اور دنیا کی زندگی پسند کر بیٹھے اور اس پر مطمئن ہوگئے (ف۱٤) اور وہ جو ہماری آیتوں سے غفلت کرتے ہیں (ف۱۵)

Their destination is hell – the recompense of their deeds.

ان لوگوں کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے بدلہ ان کی کمائی کا،

Indeed those who accepted faith and did good deeds, their Lord will guide them due to their faith; rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of favours.

بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کا رب ان کے ایمان کے سبب انھیں راہ دے گا (ف۱٦) ان کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی نعمت کے باغوں میں،

Their prayers in it will be, “Purity is to You, O Allah” and their greetings in it will be, “Peace”; and the conclusion of their prayers is, “All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.”

ان کی دعا اس میں یہ ہوگی کہ اللہ تجھے پاکی ہے (ف۱۷) اور ان کے ملتے وقت خوشی کا پہلا بول سلام ہے (ف۱۸) اور ان کی دعا کا خاتمہ یہ ہے کہ سب خوبیوں کو سراہا اللہ جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا (ف۱۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

Were Allah to send misfortune to the people as quickly as they hasten for the good*, their appointed term would have been finished; so We leave those who do not expect to meet Us, to wander in their rebellion. (* The way they wish the good to reach them quickly.)

اور اگر اللہ لوگوں پر برائی ایسی جلد بھیجتا جیسی وہ بھلائی کی جلدی کرتے ہیں تو ان کا وعدہ پورا ہوچکا ہوتا (ف۲۰) تو ہم چھوڑتے انہیں جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکا کریں (ف۲۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

And when some hardship reaches man he prays to Us, while reclining and sitting and standing; and when We remove his hardship, he goes away as if he had never prayed to Us because of any hardship; this is how the deeds of the transgressors are made seeming good to them.

اور جب آدمی کو (ف۲۲) تکلیف پہنچتی ہے ہمیں پکارتا ہے لیٹے اور بیٹھے اور کھڑے (ف۲۳) پھر جب ہم اس کی تکلیف دور کردیتے ہیں چل دیتا ہے (ف۲٤) گویا کبھی کسی تکلیف کے پہنچنے پر ہمیں پکارا ہی نہ تھا یونہی بھلے کر دکھائے ہیں حد سے بڑھنے والے کو (ف۲۵) ان کے کام (ف۲٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

And indeed We destroyed several generations before you when they crossed the limits – and their respective Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they were not such as would believe; this is how We reward the guilty.

اور بیشک ہم نے تم سے پہلی سنگتیں (قومیں) (ف۲۷) ہلاک فرمادیں جب وہ حد سے بڑھے (ف۲۸) اور ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے (ف۲۹) اور وہ ایسے تھے ہی نہیں کہ ایمان لاتے، ہم یونہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں مجرموں کو،

Then We appointed you as caliphs in the earth after them, in order that We might see what deeds you perform.

پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد تمہیں زمین میں جانشین کیا کہ دیکھیں تم کیسے کام کرتے ہو (ف۳۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the people who do not expect to meet Us say, “Bring a Qur’an other than this one, or change it”; say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I do not have the right to change it on my own; I only follow what is divinely revealed to me; if I were to disobey my Lord*, then I fear the punishment of the Great Day (of Resurrection). (* Which is impossible.)

اور جب ان پر ہماری روشن آیتیں (ف۳۱) پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو وہ کہنے لگتے ہیں جنہیں ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں (ف۳۲) کہ اس کے سوا اور قرآن لے آیئے (ف۳۳) یا اسی کو بدل دیجیے (ف۳٤) تم فرماؤ مجھے نہیں پہنچتا کہ میں اسے اپنی طرف سے بدل دوں میں تو اسی کا تابع ہوں جو میری طرف وحی ہوتی ہے (ف۳۵) میں اگر اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں (ف۳٦) تو مجھے بڑے دن کے عذاب کا ڈر ہے (ف۳۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

Say, “Had Allah willed I would not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you; so before this* I have spent an age among you; so do you not have sense?” (* Before Allah’s command to recite the Qur’an to you.)

تم فرماؤ اگر اللہ چاہتا تو میں اسے تم پر نہ پڑھتا نہ وہ تم کو اس سے خبردار کرتا (ف۳۸) تو میں اس سے پہلے تم میں اپنی ایک عمر گزار چکا ہوں (ف۳۹) تو کیا تمہیں عقل نہیں (ف٤۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

So who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie concerning Allah and denies His signs? Indeed the guilty shall never prosper.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے (ف٤۱) یا اس کی آیتیں جھٹلائے، بیشک مجرموں کا بھلا نہ ہوگا،

Kanzul Iman — English

And they worship the thing other than Allah, which neither harms them nor benefits them*, and they say, “These are our intercessors** before Allah”; say, “What! You inform Allah of something which in His knowledge does not exist in the heavens or in the earth?” Purity and Supremacy are to Him, above their association. (* Some things like the sun, stars, trees are useful but they too are created by Allah. Their worship will not benefit – in fact it is harmful ** Only the virtuous will be granted permission by Allah to intercede.)

اور اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیز (ف٤۲) کو پوجتے ہیں جو ان کا کچھ بھلا نہ کرے اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے یہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں (ف٤۳) تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ کو وہ بات بتاتے ہو جو اس کے علم میں نہ آسمانوں میں ہے نہ زمین میں (ف٤٤) اسے پاکی اور برتری ہے ان کے شرک سے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Mankind were only one nation* and then they differed, and had it not been for a promise** from your Lord, the matters in which they differed would have been decided here itself. (* On one proper faith. ** The account on the Last Day.)

اور لوگ ایک ہی امت تھے (ف٤۵) پھر مختلف ہوئے، اور اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے ایک بات پہلے نہ ہوچکی ہوتی (ف٤٦) تو یہیں ان کے اختلافوں کا ان پر فیصلہ ہوگیا ہوتا (ف٤۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

And they say, “Why is not a sign sent down upon him from his Lord?” Proclaim, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “The hidden is only for Allah, therefore wait; I too am waiting with you.”

اور کہتے ہیں ان پر ان کے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں اتری (ف٤۸) تم فرماؤ غیب تو اللہ کے لیے ہے اب راستہ دیکھو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ راہ دیکھ رہا ہوں،

Kanzul Iman — English

And when We give mankind the taste of mercy after some hardship which had afflicted them, they immediately start conspiring against Our signs; proclaim, “The secret plan of Allah is the fastest”; indeed Our angels record your scheming.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور جب کہ ہمارے آدمیوں کو رحمت کا مزہ دیتے ہیں کسی تکلیف کے بعد جو انہیں پہنچی تھی جبھی وہ ہماری آیتوں کے ساتھ داؤں چلتے ہیں (ف٤۹) تم فرمادو اللہ کی خفیہ تدبیر سب سے جلد ہوجاتی ہے (ف۵۰) بیشک ہمارے فرشتے تمہارے مکر لکھ رہے ہیں (ف۵۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

It is He Who transports you over the land and the sea; to the extent that when you are in ships – and the ships sail with them with a favourable breeze and they rejoice at it – a gust of strong wind reaches them and waves come to them from every side and they realise that they are surrounded, – thereupon they pray to Allah as His sincere bondmen that, “If You rescue us from this, we will surely be thankful.”

وہی ہے کہ تمہیں خشکی اور تری میں چلاتا ہے (ف۵۲) یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں ہو اور وہ (ف۵۳) اچھی ہوا سے انھیں لے کر چلیں اور اس پر خوش ہوئے (ف۵٤) ان پر آندھی کا جھونکا آیا اور ہر طرف لہروں نے انہیں آلیا اور سمجھ لے کہ ہم گِھر گئے اس وقت اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں نرے اس کے بندے ہو کر، کہ اگر تو اس سے ہمیں بچالے گا تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار ہوں گے (ف۵۵)

Then when He rescues them, they start wrongfully committing oppression in the earth; O mankind! Your oppression is only a torment against yourselves; derive the benefit until you live in this world; you have then to return to Us and thereupon We shall show you your misdeeds.

پھر اللہ جب انہیں بچا لیتا ہے جبھی وہ زمین میں ناحق زیادتی کرنے لگتے ہیں (ف۵٦) اے لوگو! تمہاری زیادتی تمہارے ہی جانوں کا وبال ہے دنیا کے جیتے جی برت لو (فائد اٹھالو)، پھر تمہیں ہماری طرف پھرنا ہے اس وقت ہم تمہیں جتادیں گے جو تمہارے کوتک تھے (ف۵۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

The example of the life of this world is similar to the water which We sent down from the sky, so due to it the earth’s vegetation grew in abundance – that which men and cattle eat; to the extent that when the earth has taken on her ornaments and is well beautified, and her owners thought that it is within their control, Our command came to it at night or at day – so We made it harvested as if it had not existed yesterday; this is how We explain the verses for the people who ponder.

دنیا کی زندگی کی کہاوت تو ایسی ہی ہے جیسے وہ پانی کہ ہم نے آسمان سے اتارا تو اس کے سبب زمین سے اگنے والی چیزیں سب گھنی ہو کر نکلیں جو کچھ آدمی اور چوپائے کھاتے ہیں (ف۵۸) یہاں تک کہ جب زمین میں اپنا سنگھار لے لیا (ف۵۹) اور خوب آراستہ ہوگئی اور اس کے مالک سمجھے کہ یہ ہمارے بس میں آگئی (ف٦۰) ہمارا حکم اس پر آیا رات میں یا دن میں (ف٦۱) تو ہم نے اسے کردیا کاٹی ہوئی گویا کل تھی ہی نہیں (ف٦۲) ہم یونہی آیتیں مفصل بیان کرتے ہیں غور کرنے والوں کے لیے (ف٦۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

And Allah calls to the abode of peace, and guides whomever He wills on the Straight Path.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اللہ سلامتی کے گھر کی طرف پکارتا ہے (ف٦٤) اور جسے چاہے سیدھی راہ چلاتا ہے (ف٦۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

For the people of virtue, is goodness and more than that; and neither will the blackness nor disgrace come upon their faces; it is they who are the people of Paradise; they will abide in it forever.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بھلائی والوں کے لیے بھلائی ہے اور اس سے بھی زائد (ف٦٦) اور ان کے منہ پر نہ چڑھے گی سیاہی اور نہ خواری (ف٦۷) وہی جنت والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And (for) those who earned evil*, the recompense of evil is equal to it – and disgrace will come upon them; they will have no one to save them from Allah; as if their faces are covered with pieces of the dark night; it is they who are the people of the fire; they will remain in it forever. (* The disbelievers.)

اور جنہوں نے برائیاں کمائیں (ف٦۸) تو برائی کا بدلہ اسی جیسا (ف٦۹) اور ان پر ذلت چڑھے گی، انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا، گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے ٹکڑے چڑھا دیئے ہیں (ف۷۰) وہی دوزخ والے ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے،

And on the day when We raise all of them together, then say to the polytheists, “Stay in your place – you and your partners (false deities)”; so We shall separate them from the believers, and their partners will say to them, “When did you ever worship us!?”

اور جس دن ہم ان سب کو اٹھائیں گے (ف۷۱) پھر مشرکوں سے فرمائیں گے اپنی جگہ رہو تم اور تمہارے شریک (ف۷۲) تو ہم انہیں مسلمانوں سے جدا کردیں گے اور ان کے شریک ان سے کہیں گے تم ہمیں کب پوجتے تھے (ف۷۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

“Therefore Allah suffices as a Witness between us and you, that we were not even aware that you worshipped us!”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو اللہ گواہ کافی ہے ہم میں اور تم میں کہ ہمیں تمہارے پوجنے کی خبر بھی نہ تھی،

Kanzul Iman — English

Here will every soul come to know what it has sent ahead, and they will be returned to Allah – their true Master, and they will lose all that they used to fabricate.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

یہاں ہر جان جانچ لے گی جو آگے بھیجا (ف۷٤) اور اللہ کی طرف پھیرے جائیں گے جو ان کا سچا مولیٰ ہے اور ان کی ساری بناوٹیں (ف۷۵) ان سے گم ہوجائیں گی (ف۷٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

Say, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Who provides you sustenance from the sky and the earth? Or Who is the Owner of the ears and the eyes? And Who brings forth the living from the dead and Who brings forth the dead from the living? And Who plans all matters?” So they will now say, “Allah”; therefore say, “Then why do you not fear?”

تم فرماؤ تمہیں کون روزی دیتا ہے آسمان اور زمین سے (ف۷۷) یا کون مالک ہے کان اور آنکھوں کا (ف۷۸) اور کون نکالتا ہے زندہ کو مردے سے اور نکالتا ہے مردہ کو زندہ سے (ف۷۹) اور کون تمام کاموں کی تدبیر کرتا ہے تو اب کہیں گے کہ اللہ (ف۸۰) تو تم فرماؤ تو کیوں نہیں ڈرتے (ف۸۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

So such is Allah, your True Lord; therefore what remains after the truth, except error? So where are you reverting?

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو یہ اللہ ہے تمہارا سچا رب (ف۸۲) پھر حق کے بعد کیا ہے مگر گمراہی (ف۸۳) پھر کہاں پھرے جاتے ہو،

This is how the Word of your Lord is proved concerning the sinful, so they will not believe.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

یونہی ثابت ہوچکی ہے تیرے رب کی بات فاسقوں پر (ف۸٤) تو وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے،

Say, “Is there any one among your partners (false deities) that can create for the first time and then after its extinction, create it again?” Proclaim, “Allah creates for the first time and then after its extinction, creates it again – so where are you reverting?”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تم فرماؤ تمہارے شریکوں میں (ف۸۵) کوئی ایسا ہے کہ اول بنائے پھر فنا کے بعد دوبارہ بنائے (ف۸٦) تم فرماؤ اللہ اوّل بناتا ہے پھر فنا کے بعد دوبارہ بنائے گا تو کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہو (ف۸۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

Say, “Is there any among your partners that shows the right path?” Say, “Allah shows the right path; so who should be obeyed – the One Who shows the right path, or one who does not even find the right path unless he is guided? So what has happened to you? What sort of a judgement you impose!”

تم فرماؤ تمہارے شریکوں میں کوئی ایسا ہے کہ حق کی راہ دکھائے (ف۸۸) تم فرماؤ کہ اللہ حق کی راہ دکھاتا ہے، تو کیا جو حق کی راہ دکھائے اس کے حکم پر چلنا چاہیے یا اس کے جو خود ہی راہ نہ پائے جب تک راہ نہ دکھایا جائے (ف۸۹) تو تمہیں کیا ہوا کیسا حکم لگاتے ہو،

Kanzul Iman — English

And most of them do not follow anything except assumptions; indeed assumption does not serve the least purpose (in place) of the truth; indeed Allah knows their deeds.

اور ان (ف۹۰) میں اکثر تو نہیں چلتے مگر گمان پر (ف۹۱) بیشک گمان حق کا کچھ کام نہیں دیتا، بیشک اللہ ان کاموں کو جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And this noble Qur’an is not such that anyone can invent it, without Allah revealing it – but it surely is a confirmation of the Books preceding it and is an explanation of all that is written on the (preserved) tablet – there is no doubt in it – it is from the Lord Of The Creation.

اور اس قرآن کی یہ شان نہیں کہ کوئی اپنی طرف سے بنالے بے اللہ کے اتارے (ف۹۲) ہاں وہ اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق ہے (ف۹۳) اور لوح میں جو کچھ لکھا ہے سب کی تفصیل ہے اس میں کچھ شک نہیں ہے پروردگار عالم کی طرف سے ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

What! They dare say that “He has fabricated it”? Say, “Then bring one chapter like it and, other than Allah, call everyone you can if you are truthful.”

کیا یہ کہتے ہیں (ف۹٤) کہ انہوں نے اسے بنالیا ہے تم فرماؤ (ف۹۵) تو اس جیسی کوئی ایک سورة لے آؤ اور اللہ کو چھوڑ کر جو مل سکیں سب کو بلا لاؤ (ف۹٦) اگر تم سچے ہو،

Kanzul Iman — English

On the contrary, they denied the thing the knowledge of which they could not master, whereas they have not yet seen its outcome; similarly those before them had denied, therefore see what sort of fate befell the unjust!

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بلکہ اسے جھٹلایا جس کے علم پر قابو نہ پایا (ف۹۷) اور ابھی انہوں نے اس کا انجام نہیں دیکھا (ف۹۸) ایسے ہی ان سے اگلوں نے جھٹلایا تھا (ف۹۹) تو دیکھو ظالموں کیسا انجام ہوا (ف۱۰۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

And among them is one who accepts faith in it, and among them is one who does not accept faith in it; and your Lord well knows the mischievous.

اور ان (ف۱۰۱) میں کوئی اس (ف۱۰۲) پر ایمان لاتا ہے اور ان میں کوئی اس پر ایمان نہیں لاتا ہے، اور تمہارا رب مفسدوں کو خوب جانتا ہے (ف۱۰۳)

And if they deny you, say, “For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds; you have no concern with what I do, and I have no relation with what you do.”

اور اگر وہ تمہیں جھٹلائیں (ف۱۰٤) تو فرما دو کہ میرے لیے میری کرنی اور تمہارے لیے تمہاری کرنی (اعمال) (ف۱۰۵) تمہیں میرے کام سے علاقہ نہیں اور مجھے تمہارے کام سے لاتعلق نہیں (ف۱۰٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

And among them are some who listen to you; so will you make the deaf hear even if they do not have any sense?

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہیں جو تمہاری طرف کان لگاتے ہیں (ف۱۰۷) تو کیا تم بہروں کو سنا دو گے اگرچہ انہیں عقل نہ ہو (ف۱۰۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

And among them is one who gazes at you; so will you guide the blind* even if they cannot perceive? (* Deaf or blind to guidance.)

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور ان میں کوئی تمہاری طرف تکتا ہے (ف۱۰۹) کیا تم اندھوں کو راہ دکھا دو گے اگرچہ وہ نہ سوجھیں،

Indeed Allah does not oppress men at all, but they do wrong themselves.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک اللہ لوگوں پر کچھ ظلم نہیں کرتا (ف۱۰۰) ہاں لوگ ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے ہیں (ف۱۱۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

And on the day when He will raise all of them together, as if they had never stayed on earth except for a moment during the day, they will recognise one another; for completely ruined are those who denied the meeting with Allah and were not on guidance.

اور جس دن انہیں اٹھائے گا (ف۱۱۲) گویا دنیا میں نہ رہے تھے مگر اس دن کی ایک گھڑی (ف۱۱۳) آپس میں پہچان کریں گے (ف۱۱٤) کہ پورے گھاٹے میں رہے وہ جنہوں نے اللہ سے ملنے کو جھٹلایا اور ہدایت پر نہ تھے (ف۱۱۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

And whether We show you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) part of what We promise them or whether We call you towards Us before it – in any case they have to return to Us – then Allah is the Witness of their deeds.

اور اگر ہم تمہیں دکھا دیں کچھ (ف۱۱٦) اس میں سے جو انھیں وعدہ دے رہے ہیں (۱۱۷) یا تمہیں پہلے ہی اپنے پاس بلالیں (ف۱۱۸) بہرحال انھیں ہماری طرف پلٹ کر آنا ہے پھر اللہ گواہ ہے (ف۱۱۹) ان کے کاموں پر،

And in every nation was a Noble Messenger (from Allah); so when their Noble Messenger came to them, they were judged with fairness, and they were not wronged.

اور ہر امت میں ایک رسول ہوا (ف۱۲۰) جب ان کا رسول ان کے پاس آتا (ف۱۲۱) ان پر انصاف کا فیصلہ کردیا جاتا (ف۱۲۲) اور ان پر ظلم نہیں ہوتا،

And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?”

اور کہتے ہیں یہ وعدہ کب آئے گا اگر تم سچے ہو (ف۱۲۳)

Say, “I have no autonomy to benefit or hurt myself, except what Allah wills*; for every nation is a fixed promise; when their promise comes, they cannot postpone it nor can they advance it one moment. (* To empower me.)

تم فرماؤ میں اپنی جان کے برے بھلے کا (ذاتی) اختیار نہیں رکھتا مگر جو اللہ چاہے (ف۱۲٤) ہر گروہ کا ایک وعدہ ہے (ف۱۲۵) جب ان کا وعدہ آئے گا تو ایک گھڑی نہ پیچھے ہٹیں نہ آگے بڑھیں،

Say, “What is your opinion – if His punishment comes upon you at night or during the day, so what is there in it for which the guilty are being hasty?”

تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر اس کا عذاب (ف۱۲٦) تم پر رات کو آئے (۱۲۷) یا دن کو (ف۱۲۸) تو اس میں وہ کونسی چیز ہے کہ مجرموں کو جس کی جلدی ہے،

“So will you believe it only when it has occurred? What! You believe in it now, whereas you were impatient* for it before? (* Eagerly demanding for it to occur.)

تو کیا جب (ف۱۲۹) ہو پڑے گا اس وقت اس کا یقین کرو گے (ف۱۳۰) کیا اب مانتے ہو پہلے تو (ف۱۳۱) اس کی جلدی مچا رہے تھے،

Then the unjust will be told, “Taste the punishment forever; and you will be repaid only what you used to earn.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

پھر ظالموں سے کہا جائے گا ہمیشہ کا عذاب چکھو تمہیں کچھ اور بدلہ نہ ملے گا مگر وہی جو کماتے تھے (ف۱۳۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

And they ask you “Is it a reality*?” Say, “Yes, by oath of my Lord, indeed surely it is a reality, and you will not be able to escape.” (* The punishment of the hereafter.)

اور تم سے پوچھتے ہیں کیا وہ (ف۱۳۳) حق ہے، تم فرماؤ ، ہاں! میرے رب کی قسم بیشک وہ ضرور حق ہے، اور تم کچھ تھکا نہ سکو گے (ف۱۳٤)

And if each unjust soul owned everything that is in the earth, it would have certainly given it in order to redeem itself; and they secretly felt repentant when they saw the punishment; and it has been judged between them with fairness and they will not be wronged.

اور اگر ہر ظالم جان، زمین میں جو کچھ ہے (ف۱۳۵) سب کی مالک ہوتی، ضرور اپنی جان چھڑانے میں دیتی (ف۱۳٦) اور دل میں چپکے چپکے پشیمان ہوئے جب عذاب دیکھا اور ان میں انصاف سے فیصلہ کردیا گیا اور ان پر ظلم نہ ہوگا،

Kanzul Iman — English

Pay heed! Indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth belongs only to Allah; pay heed! Indeed Allah’s promise is true, but most of them do not know.

سن لو بیشک اللہ ہی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور زمین میں (ف۱۳۷) سن لو بیشک اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے مگر ان میں اکثر کو خبر نہیں،

And He gives life and gives death, and towards Him you will return.

وہ جِلاتا اور مارتا ہے اور اسی کی طرف پھرو گے،

O mankind! The advice has come to you from your Lord and a cure for the hearts – and guidance and mercy for believers.

اے لوگو! تمہارے پاس تمہارے رب کی طرف سے نصیحت آئی (ف۱۳۸) اور دلوں کی صحت اور ہدایت اور رحمت ایمان والوں کے لیے،

Say, “Upon Allah’s munificence and upon His mercy – upon these should the people rejoice”; that is better than all their wealth and possessions.

تم فرماؤ اللہ ہی کے فضل اور اسی کی رحمت اور اسی پر چاہیے کہ خوشی کریں (ف۱۳۹) وہ ان کے سب دھن دولت سے بہتر ہے،

Say, “What is your opinion – (regarding) the sustenance that Allah has sent down for you? So you have, on your own, deemed lawful and unlawful in it!”; say, “Has Allah given you permission for it, or do you fabricate a lie against Allah?”

تم فرماؤ بھلا بتاؤ تو وہ جو اللہ نے تمہارے لیے رزق اتارا اس میں تم نے اپنی طرف سے حرام و حلال ٹھہرالیا (ف۱٤۰) تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ نے اس کی تمہیں اجازت دی یا اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھتے ہو (ف۱٤۱)

And what do they, who fabricate lies against Allah, assume will be their state on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed Allah is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most people are not thankful.

اور کیا گمان ہے ان کا ، جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھتے ہیں کہ قیامت میں ان کا کیا حال ہوگا، بیشک اللہ لوگوں پر فضل کرتا ہے (ف۱٤۲) مگر اکثر لوگ شکر نہیں کرتے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And whatever work you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) are engaged in and recite a part of the Qur’an from Him, and whatever you people do, We are Witness upon you from the time you begin it; and there is nothing in the earth or in the heaven worth the weight of the smallest particle hidden from your Lord, nor anything smaller or greater than it, which is not recorded in a clear Book.

اور تم کسی کام میں ہو (ف۱٤۳) اور اس کی طرف سے کچھ قرآن پڑھو اور تم لوگ (ف۱٤٤) کوئی کام کرو ہم تم پر گواہ ہوتے ہیں جب تم اس کو شروع کرتے ہو، اور تمہارے رب سے ذرہ بھر کوئی چیز غائب نہیں زمین میں نہ آسمان میں اور نہ اس سے چھوٹی اور نہ اس سے بڑی کوئی چیز نہیں جو ایک روشن کتاب میں نہ ہو (ف۱٤۵)

Pay heed! Indeed upon the friends of Allah is neither any fear, nor any grief. (The friends of Allah are the best in the creation.)

سن لو بیشک اللہ کے ولیوں پر نہ کچھ خوف ہے نہ کچھ غم (ف۱٤٦)

Those who have accepted faith and practice piety.

وہ جو ایمان لائے اور پرہیزگاری کرتے ہیں،

There are good tidings for them in the life of this world and in the Hereafter; the Words of Allah cannot change; this is the supreme success.

انھیں خوشخبری ہے دنیا کی زندگی میں (ف۱٤۷) اور آخرت میں، اللہ کی باتیں بدل نہیں سکتیں (ف۱٤۸) یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،

And do not grieve at their speech (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); indeed all honour is for Allah and He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.

اور تم ان کی باتوں کا غم نہ کرو (ف۱٤۹) بیشک عزت ساری اللہ کے لیے ہے (ف۱۵۰) وہی سنتا جانتا ہے،

Indeed all those in the heavens and all those in the earth are in Allah’s control; and what do those who pray to the partners instead of Allah, follow? They do not follow anything except assumption, and they only make guesses.

سن لو بیشک اللہ ہی کے مِلک ہیں جتنے آسمانوں میں ہیں اور جتنے زمینوں میں (ف۱۵۱) اور کاہے کے پیچھے جا رہے ہیں (ف۱۵۲) وہ جو اللہ کے سوا شریک پکار رہے ہیں، وہ تو پیچھے نہیں جاتے مگر گمان کے اور وہ تو نہیں مگر اٹکلیں دوڑاتے (ف۱۵۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

It is He Who created the night for you so that you may gain rest in it and the day giving sight; indeed in this are signs for the people who heed.

وہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے رات بنائی کہ اس میں چین پاؤ (ف۱۵٤) اور دن بنایا تمہاری آنکھوں کھولتا (ف۱۵۵) بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں سننے والوں کے لیے (ف۱۵٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

They said, “Allah has created a son for Himself”- Purity is to Him! He is the Perfect (Unwanting, free of needs); to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; “You do not have any proof of this; do you say a thing concerning Allah which you do not know?”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بولے اللہ نے اپنے لیے اولاد بنائی (ف۱۵۷) پاکی اس کو، وہی بےنیاز ہے، اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں (ف۱۵۸) تمہارے پاس اس کی کوئی بھی سند نہیں، کیا اللہ پر وہ بات بتاتے ہو جس کا تمہیں علم نہیں،

Say, “Indeed those who fabricate lies against Allah will never succeed.”

تم فرماؤ وہ جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھتے ہیں ان کا بھلا نہ ہوگا،

Enjoying a little in the earth, they have then to return to Us – We will then make them taste a severe punishment, the recompense of their disbelief.

دنیا میں کچھ برت لینا (فائدہ اٹھانا) ہے پھر انھیں ہماری طرف واپس آنا پھر ہم انھیں سخت عذاب چکھائیں گے بدلہ ان کے کفر کا،

Read to them the story of Nooh; when he told his people, “O my people – if my standing here and reminding you of Allah’s signs have been intolerable for you – so I have trusted only Allah – then work jointly and strengthen your work along with your false deities, leaving no doubt regarding your work – then do whatever you can to me, and do not give me respite.”

اور انھیں نوح کی خبر پڑھ کر سناؤ جب اس نے اپنی قوم سے کہا اے میری قوم اگر تم پر شاق گزرا ہے میرا کھڑا ہونا (ف۱۵۹) اور اللہ کی نشانیاں یاد دلانا (ف۱٦۰) تو میں نے اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کیا (ف۱٦۱) تو مِل کر کام کرو اور اپنے جھوٹے معبودوں سمیت اپنا کام پکا کرلو تمہارے کام میں تم پر کچھ گنجلک (الجھن) نہ رہے پھر جو ہو سکے میرا کرلو اور مجھے مہلت نہ دو (ف۱٦۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

“Then if you turn away, I do not ask any fee from you; my reward is only upon Allah, and I am commanded to be of the Muslims.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو (ف۱٦۳) تو میں تم سے کچھ اجرت نہیں مانگتا (ف۱٦٤) میرا اجر تو نہیں مگر اللہ پر (ف۱٦۵) اور مجھے حکم ہے کہ میں مسلمانوں سے ہوں،

Kanzul Iman — English

In response they denied him, so We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made them caliphs, and We drowned those who denied Our signs; therefore see what sort of fate befell those who had been warned!

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو انہوں نے اسے (ف۱٦٦) جھٹلایا تو ہم نے اسے اور جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے ان کو نجات دی اور انھیں ہم نے نائب کیا (ف۱٦۷) اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائیں ان کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا تو دیکھو ڈرائے ہوؤں کا انجام کیسا ہوا،

Kanzul Iman — English

Then after him, We sent other Noble Messengers to their respective people – so they came to them with clear proofs – so they were not such as to believe in what they had denied before; this is how We set seals upon the hearts of rebels.

پھر اس کے بعد اور رسول (ف۱٦۸) ہم نے ان کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجے تو وہ ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں لائے تو وہ ایسے نہ تھے کہ ایمان لاتے اس پر جسے پہلے جھٹلا چکے تھے، ہم یونہی مہر لگادیتے ہیں سرکشوں کے دلوں پر،

Kanzul Iman — English

Then after them, We sent Moosa and Haroon along with Our signs, to Firaun and his court members, so they were proud and were a guilty people.

پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے موسیٰ اور ہارون کو فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں کی طرف اپنی نشانیاں دے کر بھیجا تو انہوں نے تکبر کیا اور وہ مجرم لوگ تھے،

So when the truth came to them from Us, they said, “Indeed this is a clear magic.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو جب ان کے پاس ہماری طرف سے حق آیا (ف۱٦۹) بولے یہ تو ضرور کھلا جادو ہے،

Said Moosa, “What! You speak in this manner regarding the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? And magicians never succeed.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

موسیٰ نے کہا کیا حق کی نسبت ایسا کہتے ہو جب وہ تمہارے پاس آیا کیا یہ جادو ہے (ف۱۷۰) اور جادوگر مراد کو نہیں پہنچتے،

Kanzul Iman — English

They said, “Have you two come to us to revert us from what we found our fathers upon, and that the leadership in the land may only be for you two? And we shall never believe in you both.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بولے (ف۱۷۱) کیا تم ہمارے پاس اس لیے آئے ہو کہ ہمیں اس (ف۱۷۲) سے پھیر دو جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا اور زمین میں تمہیں دونوں کی بڑائی رہے، اور ہم تم پر ایمان لانے کے نہیں،

And Firaun said, “Bring every expert magician to me.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور فرعون (ف۱۷۳) بولا ہر جادوگر علم والے کو میرے پاس لے آؤ،

Kanzul Iman — English

So when the magicians came, Moosa said to them, “Cast whatever you intend to cast.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

پھر جب جادوگر آئے ان سے موسیٰ نے کہا ڈالو جو تمہیں ڈالنا ہے (ف۱۷٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

Therefore when they had cast, Moosa said, “This what you have brought, is magic; Allah will now make it void; indeed Allah does not make the works of the mischievous successful.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

پھر جب انہوں نے ڈالا موسیٰ نے کہا یہ جو تم لائے یہ جادو ہے (ف۱۷۵) اب اللہ اسے باطل کردے گا، اللہ مفسدوں کا کام نہیں بناتا،

“And Allah will prove the truth by His Words, even if the guilty get annoyed.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اللہ اپنی باتوں سے (ف۱۷٦) حق کو حق کر دکھاتا ہے پڑے برا مانیں مجرم،

So none accepted faith in Moosa, except a few descendants of his people, fearing Firaun and his court members, that they would force them to revert; and indeed Firaun was a rebel in the land; and indeed he crossed the limits.

تو موسیٰ پر ایمان نہ لائے مگر اس کی قوم کی اولاد سے کچھ لوگ (ف۱۷۷) فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں سے ڈرتے ہوئے کہ کہیں انھیں (ف۱۷۸) ہٹنے پر مجبور نہ کردیں اور بیشک فرعون زمین پر سر اٹھانے والا تھا، اور بیشک وہ حد سے گزر گیا (ف۱۷۹)

And Moosa said, “O my people! If you have accepted faith in Allah, then you should rely only upon Him, if you are Muslims.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور موسیٰ نے کہا اے میری قوم اگر تم اللہ پر ایمان لائے تو اسی پر بھروسہ کرو (ف۱۸۰) اگر تم اسلام رکھتے ہو،

Kanzul Iman — English

They said, “We have relied only upon Allah; Our Lord! Do not make us a test* for the unjust people.” (* By giving them power over us.)

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بولے ہم نے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا۔ الٰہی ہم کو ظالم لوگوں کے لیے آزمائش نہ بنا (ف۱۸۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

“And with Your mercy, rescue us from the disbelievers.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اپنی رحمت فرما کر ہمیں کافروں سے نجات دے (ف۱۸۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa and his brother that, “Build houses for your people in Egypt and make your houses as places of worship, and keep the prayer established, and give glad tidings to the Muslims.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور ہم نے موسیٰ اور اس کے بھائی کو وحی بھیجی کہ مصر میں اپنی قوم کے لیے مکانات بناؤ اور اپنے گھروں کو نماز کی جگہ کرو (ف۱۸۳) اور نماز قائم رکھو، اور مسلمانوں کو خوشخبری سناؤ (ف۱۸٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

And Moosa prayed, “Our Lord! You have given Firaun and his chiefs adornment and wealth in the life of this world, our Lord, that they may lead astray from Your path; our Lord! Destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they may not accept faith until they witness the painful punishment.”

اور موسیٰ نے عرض کی اے رب ہمارے تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو آرائش (ف۱۸۵) اور مال دنیا کی زندگی میں دیے، اے رب ہمارے! اس لیے کہ تیری راہ سے بہکادیں، اے رب ہمارے! ان کے مال برباد کردے (ف۱۸٦) اور ان کے دل سخت کردے کہ ایمان نہ لائیں جب تک دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں (ف۱۸۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

He said, “The prayer of you two is accepted, therefore remain firm, and do not follow the way of the unwise.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

فرمایا تم دونوں کی دعا قبول ہوئی (ف۱۸۸) تو ثابت قدم رہو اور (ف۱۸۹) نادانوں کی راہ نہ چلو (ف۱۹۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

And We transported the Descendants of Israel across the sea, therefore Firaun and his army pursued them with rebellion and injustice; until when the drowning overcame him he cried, “I accept faith that there is no True God except the One in Whom the Descendants of Israel believe, and I am a Muslim.”

اور ہم بنی اسرائیل کو دریا پار لے گئے تو فرعون اور اس کے لشکروں نے ان کا پیچھا کیا سرکشی اور ظلم سے یہاں تک کہ جب اسے ڈوبنے نے آ لیا (ف۱۹۱) بولا میں ایمان لایا کہ کوئی سچا معبود نہیں سوا اس کے جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے اور میں مسلمان ہوں (ف۱۹۲)

“What! Now?* Whereas you were disobedient from the start and you were mischievous!” (This was said to Firaun.* Accepting faith at the time of death is of no use.)

کیا اب (ف۱۹۳) اور پہلے سے نافرمان رہا اور تو فسادی تھا (ف۱۹٤)

“This day We shall salvage your body so that you may be a sign for those after you; and indeed most people are neglectful of Our signs.”

آج ہم تیری لاش کو اوترا دیں (باقی رکھیں) گے تو اپنے پچھلوں کے لیے نشانی ہو (ف۱۹۵) اور بیشک لوگ ہماری آیتوں سے غافل ہیں ،

And indeed We provided the Descendants of Israel a place of honour, and bestowed good sustenance to them; and they did not fall into dispute except after the knowledge had come to them; indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matters in which they used to differ.

اور بیشک ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو عزت کی جگہ دی (ف۱۹٦) اور انھیں ستھری روزی عطا کی تو اختلاف میں نہ پڑے (ف۱۹۷) مگر علم آنے کے بعد (ف۱۹۸) بیشک تمہارا رب قیامت کے دن ان میں فیصلہ کردے گا جس بات میں جھگڑتے تھے (ف۱۹۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

And if you, O listener, have any doubt in what We have sent down towards you, then question those who have read the Book before you; undoubtedly, towards you has come the truth from your Lord, therefore do not be of those who doubt.

اور اے سننے والے! اگر تجھے کچھ شبہ ہو اس میں جو ہم نے تیری طرف اتارا (ف۲۰۰) تو ان سے پوچھ دیکھ جو تجھ سے پہلے کتاب پڑھنے والے ہیں (ف۲۰۱) بیشک تیرے پاس تیرے رب کی طرف سے حق آیا (ف۲۰۲) تو تو ہرگز شک والوں میں نہ ہو،

And never be of those who denied the signs of Allah, for you will then be of the losers.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور ہرگز ان میں نہ ہونا جنہوں نے اللہ کی آیتیں جھٹلائیں کہ تو خسارے والوں میں ہوجائے گا،

Indeed those for whom the Word of your Lord has proved true, will not believe.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک وہ جن پر تیرے رب کی بات ٹھیک پڑچکی ہے (ف۲۰۳) ایمان نہ لائیں گے،

Even if every sign comes to them, until they witness the painful punishment.

اگرچہ سب نشانیاں ان کے پاس آئیں جب تک دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں (ف۲۰٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

So if only had there been one dwelling* that believed and its belief would have benefited it – except the nation of Yunus (Jonah)! When they accepted faith, We removed the disgraceful punishment in the life of this world from them, and let them enjoy for a while. (* That was destroyed after being warned.)

تو ہوئی ہوتی نہ کوئی بستی (ف۲۰۵) کہ ایمان لاتی (ف۲۰٦) تو اس کا ایمان کام آتا ہاں یونس کی قوم، جب ایمان لائے ہم نے ان سے رسوائی کا عذاب دنیا کی زندگی میں ہٹادیا اور ایک وقت تک انھیں برتنے دیا (ف۲۰۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

And if your Lord willed, all those who are in the earth – everyone of them – would have accepted faith; so will you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) force the people until they become Muslims?

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اگر تمہارا رب چاہتا زمین میں جتنے ہیں سب کے سب ایمان لے آتے (ف۲۰۸) تو کیا تم لوگوں کو زبردستی کرو گے یہاں تک کہ مسلمان ہوجائیں (ف۲۰۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

And no soul can accept faith except by the command of Allah; and He sets the punishment upon those who do not have sense.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور کسی جان کی قدرت نہیں کہ ایمان لے آئے مگر اللہ کے حکم سے (ف۲۱۰) اور عذاب ان پر ڈالنا ہے جنہیں عقل نہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

Proclaim, “Observe what is in the heavens and the earth”; and the signs and the Noble Messengers do not benefit the people who are not destined to believe.

تم فرماؤ دیکھو (ف۲۱۱) آسمانوں اور زمین میں کیا ہے (ف۲۱۲) اور آیتیں اور رسول انھیں کچھ نہیں دیتے جن کے نصیب میں ایمان نہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

So what are they waiting for, except the days similar to the days of those who passed away before them? Say, “Then wait! I too am waiting with you.”

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو انھیں کاہے کا انتظار ہے مگر انھیں لوگوں کے سے دنوں کا جو ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے (ف۲۱۳) تم فرماؤ تو انتظار کرو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار میں ہوں (ف۲۱٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

Then We shall save Our Noble Messengers and the believers – this is it; it is incumbent upon Our mercy to save the Muslims.

پھر ہم اپنے رسولوں اور ایمان والوں کو نجات دیں گے بات یہی ہے ہمارے ذمہ کرم پر حق ہے مسلمانوں کو نجات دینا،

Kanzul Iman — English

Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “O people! If you are in doubt concerning my religion, then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship instead of Allah – but I worship Allah Who will give you death; and I am commanded to be of the believers.”

تم فرماؤ، اے لوگو! اگر تم میرے دین کی طرف سے کسی شبہ میں ہو تو میں تو اسے نہ پوجوں کا جسے تم اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو (ف۲۱۵) ہاں اس اللہ کو پوجتا ہوں جو تمہاری جان نکالے گا (۲۱٦) اور مجھے حکم ہے کہ ایمان والوں میں ہوں

Kanzul Iman — English

“And that ‘Set your face straight* for religion, apart from all others; and never be of those who ascribe partners (to Allah)’.” (* Your intention sincerely for religion.)

اور یہ کہ اپنا منہ دین کے لیے سیدھا رکھ سب سے الگ ہو کر (ف۲۱۷) اور ہرگز شرک والوں میں نہ ہونا،

Kanzul Iman — English

“And other than Allah, do not worship that which cannot benefit you nor cause you harm; then if you do so, you would be of the unjust.” (* Some things like the sun, stars, trees are useful but they too are created by Allah. Their worship will not benefit – in fact it is harmful.)

اور اللہ کے سوا اس کی بندگی نہ کر جو نہ تیرا بھلا کرسکے نہ برا، پھر اگر ایسا کرے تو اس وقت تو ظالموں سے ہوگا،

Kanzul Iman — English

“And if Allah afflicts you with some suffering, there is none who can remove it except Him; and if He wills good for you, there is none who can repel His munificence; He bestows it upon whomever He wills from among His bondmen; He is the Oft Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” (* Help, cure, monetary aid etc., whatever benefit derived from any source, reaches us because Allah has given the source this power and is actually through the grace and mercy of Allah.)

اور اگر تجھے اللہ کوئی تکلیف پہنچائے تو اس کا کوئی ٹالنے والا نہیں اس کے سوا، اور اگر تیرا بھلا چاہے تو اس کے فضل کے رد کرنے والا کوئی نہیں (ف۲۱۸) اسے پہنچاتا ہے اپنے بندوں میں جسے چاہے، اور وہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Say, “O people! The truth* has come to you from your Lord; so whoever came to guidance, has come to guidance for his own benefit; and whoever strayed, has strayed for his own harm; and I am not a trustee over you.” (* Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him, or Islam or the Qur’an.)

تم فرماؤ اے لوگو! تمہارے پاس تمہارے رب کی طرف سے حق آیا (ف۲۱۹) تو جو راہ پر آیا وہ اپنے بھلے کو راہ پر آیا (ف۲۲۰) اور جو بہکا وہ اپنے برے کو بہکا (ف۲۲۱) اور کچھ میں کڑوڑا (حاکمِ اعلیٰ) نہیں (ف۲۲۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

And (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) follow what is divinely revealed to you, and have patience till Allah gives His command; and He is the Best of Rulers.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور اس پر چلو جو تم پر وحی ہوتی ہے اور صبر کرو (ف۲۲۳) یہاں تک کہ اللہ حکم فرمائے (ف۲۲٤) اور وہ سب سے بہتر حکم فرمانے والا ہے (ف۲۲۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

Alif-Lam-Ra*; “This is a Book, the verses of which are full of wisdom – then explained in detail – from the Wise, the Well Aware.” (* Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

یہ ایک کتاب ہے جس کی آیتیں حکمت بھری ہیں (ف۲) پھر تفصیل کی گئیں (ف۳) حکمت والے خبردار کی طرف سے ،

“That do not worship anyone except Allah; indeed I am for you a Herald of Warning and Glad Tidings, from Him.”

کہ بندگی نہ کرو مگر اللہ کی بیشک میں تمہارے لیے اس کی طرف سے ڈر اور خوشی سنانے والا ہوں

Kanzul Iman — English

“And ask forgiveness from your Lord and incline towards Him in repentance, He will provide you excellent sustenance until the appointed time and will bestow superiority to every one who excels; and if you turn away, I then fear the punishment of the Great Day upon you.”

اور یہ کہ اپنے رب سے معافی مانگو پھر اس کی طرف توبہ کرو تمہیں بہت اچھا برتنا (فائدہ اٹھانا) دے گا (ف٤) ایک ٹھہرائے وعدہ تک اور ہر فضیلت والے (ف۵) کو اس کا فضل پہنچائے گا (ف٦) اور اگر منہ پھیرو تو میں تم پر بڑے دن (ف۷) کے عذاب کا خوف کرتا ہوں،

“To Allah only you have to return, and He is Able to do all things.”

تمہیں اللہ ہی کی طرف پھرنا ہے (ف۸) اور وہ ہر شے پر قادر (ف۹)
