Kanzul Iman — English

Allah has indeed heard the speech of the woman who is arguing with you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) concerning her husband, and is complaining to Allah; and Allah hears the conversation of you both; indeed Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing.

بیشک اللہ نے سنی اس کی بات جو تم سے اپنے شوہر کے معاملہ میں بحث کرتی ہے (ف۲) اور اللہ سے شکایت کرتی ہے، اور اللہ تم دونوں کی گفتگو سن رہا ہے، بیشک اللہ سنتا دیکھتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Those among you who have proclaimed their wives as their mothers – so their wives are not their mothers; their mothers are only those that gave them birth; and undoubtedly they utter evil and a blatant lie; and indeed Allah is Most Pardoning, Oft Forgiving.

وہ جو تم میں اپنی بیبیوں کو اپنی ماں کی جگہ کہہ بیٹھتے ہیں (ف۳) وہ ان کی مائیں نہیں (ف٤) ان کی مائیں تو وہی ہیں جن سے وہ پیدا ہیں (ف۵) اور وہ بیشک بری اور نری جھوٹ بات کہتے ہیں (ف٦) اور بیشک اللہ ضرور معاف کرنے والا اور بخشنے والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And those among you who have proclaimed their wives as their mothers and then wish to revert to the matter upon which they had uttered such an enormous word, must then free a slave before they touch one another; this is what you are advised; and Allah is Aware of your deeds.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور وہ جو اپنی بیبیوں کو اپنی ماں کی جگہ کہیں (ف۷) پھر وہی کرنا چاہیں جس پر اتنی بری بات کہہ چکے (ف۸) تو ان پر لازم ہے (ف۹) ایک بردہ آزاد کرنا (ف۱۰) قبل اس کے کہ ایک دوسرے کو ہاتھ لگائیں (ف۱۱) یہ ہے جو نصیحت تمہیں کی جاتی ہے، اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے خبردار ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

So one who cannot find a slave, must then fast for two successive months before they touch one another; and one who cannot even fast, must then feed sixty needy ones; this is in order that you keep faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger; and these are the limits of Allah; and for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.

پھر جسے بردہ نہ ملے تو (ف۱۲) لگاتار دو مہینے کے روزے (ف۱۳) قبل اس کے کہ ایک دوسرے کو ہاتھ لگائیں (ف۱٤) پھر جس سے روزے بھی نہ ہوسکیں (ف۱۵) تو ساٹھ مسکینوں کا پیٹ بھرنا (ف۱٦) یہ اس لیے کہ تم اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان رکھو (ف۱۷) اور یہ اللہ کی حدیں ہیں (ف۱۸) اور کافروں کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed those who oppose Allah and His Noble Messenger have been humiliated, like those before them who were humiliated, and We have indeed sent down clear verses; and for the disbelievers is a disgraceful punishment.

بیشک وہ جو مخالفت کرتے ہیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی ذلیل کیے گئے جیسے ان سے اگلوں کو ذلت دی گئی (ف۱۹) اور بیشک ہم نے روشن آیتیں اتاریں (ف۲۰) اور کافروں کے لیے خواری کا عذاب ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

The day when Allah will raise all of them together and inform them of their misdeeds; Allah has kept count of them, whereas they have forgotten them; and all things are present before Allah.

جس دن اللہ ان سب کو اٹھائے گا (ف۲۱) پھر انہیں ان کے کو تک جتادے گا (ف۲۲) اللہ نے انہیں گن رکھا ہے اور وہ بھول گئے (ف۲۳) اور ہر چیز اللہ کے سامنے ہے ،

Kanzul Iman — English

O listener! Did you not see that Allah knows all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth? Wherever there is any discussion among three He is the fourth present with them, and among five He is the sixth, and there is no discussion among fewer or more except that He is with them wherever they may be; and then on the Day of Resurrection He will inform them of all what they did; indeed Allah knows all things.

اے سننے والے کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں (ف۲٤) جہاں کہیں تین شخصوں کی سرگوشی ہو (ف۲۵) تو چوتھا وہ موجود ہے (ف۲٦) اور پانچ کی (ف۲۷) تو چھٹا وہ (ف۲۸) اور نہ اس سے کم (ف۲۹) اور نہ اس سے زیادہ کی مگر یہ کہ وہ ان کے ساتھ ہے (ف۳۰) جہاں کہیں ہوں پھر انہیں قیامت کے دن بتادے گا جو کچھ انہوں نے کیا، بیشک اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Did you not see those who were forbidden from conspiracy, yet they do what was forbidden, and consult each other for sinning, and for exceeding limits, and for disobeying the Noble Messenger? And when they come in your presence, they greet you with words not chosen by Allah for respectfully greeting you, and they inwardly say, “Why does not Allah punish us for what we say?”; hell is sufficient for them; they will sink into it; and what a wretched outcome!

کیا تم نے انہیں نہ دیکھا جنہیں بری مشورت سے منع فرمایا گیا تھا پھر وہی کرتے ہیں (ف۳۱) جس کی ممانعت ہوئی تھی اور آپس میں گناہ اور حد سے بڑھنے (ف۳۲) اور رسول کی نافرمانی کے مشورے کرتے ہیں (ف۳۳) اور جب تمہارے حضور حاضر ہوتے ہیں تو ان لفظوں سے تمہیں مجرا کرتے ہیں جو لفظ اللہ نے تمہارے اعزاز میں نہ کہے (ف۳٤) اور اپنے دلوں میں کہتے ہیں ہمیں اللہ عذاب کیوں نہیں کرتا ہمارے اس کہنے پر (ف۳۵) انہیں جہنم بس ہے، اس میں دھنسیں گے، تو کیا ہی برا انجام،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! When you consult each other, do not consult for sinning, nor for exceeding limits, nor for disobeying the Noble Messenger – and consult for righteousness and piety; and fear Allah, towards Whom you will be raised.

اے ایمان والو تم جب آپس میں مشورت کرو تو گناہ اور حد سے بڑھنے اور رسول کی نافرمانی کی مشورت نہ کرو (ف۳٦) اور نیکی اور پرہیزگاری کی مشورت کرو، اور اللہ سے ڈرو جس کی طرف اٹھائے جاؤ گے،

Kanzul Iman — English

The evil consultation is only from the devil in order that he may upset the believers, whereas he cannot harm them in the least without Allah’s command; and only upon Allah must the Muslims rely.

وہ مشورت تو شیطان ہی کی طرف سے ہے (ف۳۷) اس لیے کہ ایمان والوں کو رنج دے اور وہ اس کا کچھ نہیں بگاڑ سکتا بےحکم خدا کے، اور مسلمانوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے (ف۳۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! When you are told to give room in the assemblies, then do give room – Allah will give you room (in His mercy); and when it is said, “Stand up in reverence”, then do stand up – Allah will raise the believers among you, and those given knowledge, to high ranks; and Allah is Aware of your deeds.

اے ایمان والو جب تم سے کہا جائے مجلسوں میں جگہ دو تو جگہ دو اللہ تمہیں جگہ دے گا (ف۳۹) اور جب کہا جائے اٹھ کھڑے ہو (ف٤۰) تو اٹھ کھڑے ہو اللہ تمہارے ایمان والوں کے اور ان کے جن کو علم دیا گیا (ف٤۱) درجے بلند فرمائے گا، اور اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! When you wish to humbly consult with the Noble Messenger, give some charity before you consult; that is much better and much purer for you; so if you do not have the means, then (know that) Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

اے ایمان والو جب تم رسول سے کوئی بات آہستہ عرض کرنا چاہو تو اپنی عرض سے پہلے کچھ صدقہ دے لو (ف٤۲) یہ تمہارے لیے بہت بہتر اور بہت ستھرا ہے، پھر اگر تمہیں مقدور نہ ہو تو اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Were you afraid to offer charity before you consult? So when you did not do this, and Allah has inclined towards you with His mercy, keep the prayers established and pay the obligatory charity and obey Allah and His Noble Messenger; and Allah is Aware of your deeds.

کیا تم اس سے ڈرے کہ تم اپنی عرض سے پہلے کچھ صدقے دو (ف٤۳) پھر جب تم نے یہ نہ کیا، اور اللہ نے اپنی مہر سے تم پر رجوع فرمائی (ف٤٤) تو نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰة دو اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے فرمانبردار رہو، اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں کو جانتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Did you not see those who befriended those upon whom is Allah’s wrath? They are neither of you nor of these – and they swear a false oath, whereas they know.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

کیا تم نے انہیں نہ دیکھا جو ایسوں کے دوست ہوئے جن پر اللہ کا غضب ہے (ف٤۵) وہ نہ تم میں سے نہ ان میں سے (ف٤٦) وہ دانستہ جھوٹی قسم کھاتے ہیں (ف٤۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

Allah has kept prepared a severe punishment for them; indeed they commit extremely evil deeds.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اللہ نے ان کے لیے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے، بیشک وہ بہت ہی برے کام کرتے ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

They use their oaths as a shield therefore preventing from Allah’s way – so for them is a disgraceful punishment.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

انہوں نے اپنی قسموں کو (ف٤۸) ڈھال بنالیا ہے (ف٤۹) تو اللہ کی راہ سے روکا (ف۵۰) تو ان کے لیے خواری کا عذاب ہے (ف۵۱)

Kanzul Iman — English

Their wealth and their children will be of no use to them before Allah; they are the people of hell; they are to remain in it forever.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

ان کے مال اور ان کی اولاد اللہ کے سامنے انہیں کچھ کام نہ دیں گے (ف۵۲) وہ دوزخی ہیں، انہیں اس میں ہمیشہ رہنا،

Kanzul Iman — English

The day when Allah will raise them all, they will swear in His presence the way they now swear in front of you, and they will assume that they have achieved something; pay heed! Indeed it is they who are the liars.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

جس دن اللہ ان سب کو اٹھائے گا تو اس کے حضور بھی ایسے ہی قسمیں کھائیں گے جیسی تمہارے سامنے کھا رہے ہیں (ف۵۳) اور وہ یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے کچھ کیا (ف۵٤) سنتے ہو بیشک وہی جھوٹے ہیں (ف۵۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

The devil has overpowered them, so they forgot the remembrance of Allah; they are the devil’s group; pay heed! Indeed it is the devil’s group who are the losers.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

ان پر شیطان غالب آگیا تو انہیں اللہ کی یاد بھلا دی، وہ شیطان کے گروہ ہیں، سنتا ہے بیشک شیطان ہی کا گروہ ہار میں ہے (ف۵٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed those who oppose Allah and His Noble Messenger, are among the most despicable.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک وہ جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرتے ہیں وہ سب سے زیادہ ذلیلوں میں ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

Allah has already decreed that, “I will indeed be victorious, and My Noble Messengers”; indeed Allah is Almighty, the Most Honourable.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اللہ لکھ چکا (ف۵۷) کہ ضرور میں غالب آؤں گا اور میرے رسول (ف۵۸) بیشک اللہ قوت والا عزت والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

You will not find the people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, befriending those who oppose Allah and His Noble Messenger, even if they are their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their tribesmen; it is these upon whose hearts Allah has ingrained faith, and has aided them with a Spirit from Himself; and He will admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding in them forever; Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him; this is Allah’s group; pay heed! Indeed it is Allah’s group who are the successful.

تم نہ پاؤ گے ان لوگوں کو جو یقین رکھتے ہیں اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر کہ دوستی کریں ان سے جنہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے مخالفت کی (ف۵۹) اگرچہ وہ ان کے باپ یا بیٹے یا بھائی یا کنبے والے ہوں (ف٦۰) یہ ہیں جن کے دلوں میں اللہ نے ایمان نقش فرمادیا اور اپنی طرف کی روح سے ان کی مدد کی (ف٦۱) اور انہیں باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں، اللہ ان سے راضی (ف٦۲) اور وہ اللہ سے راضی (ف٦۳) یہ اللہ کی جماعت ہے، سنتا ہے اللہ ہی کی جماعت کامیاب ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اللہ کی پاکی بولتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں، اور وہ وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے (ف۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

It is He Who expelled the disbelievers among the People given the Book(s) from their homes, for their first gathering; you did not expect them to leave, whereas they assumed that their fortresses would save them from Allah, so Allah’s command came to them from a place they had not imagined; and He instilled awe in their hearts, so they ruin their own houses by their own hands and at the hands of the Muslims; therefore learn a lesson, O those who can perceive!

وہی ہے جس نے ان کافر کتابیوں کو (ف۳) ان کے گھروں سے نکالا (ف٤) ان کے پہلے حشر کے لیے (ف۵) تمہیں گمان نہ تھا کہ وہ نکلیں گے (ف٦) اور وہ سمجھتے تھے کہ ان کے قلعے انہیں اللہ سے بچالیں گے تو اللہ کا حکم ان کے پاس آیا جہاں سے ان کا گمان بھی نہ تھا (ف۷) اور اس نے ان کے دلوں میں رعب ڈالا (ف۸) کہ اپنے گھر ویران کرتے ہیں اپنے ہاتھوں (ف۹) اور مسلمانوں کے ہاتھوں (ف۱۰) تو عبرت لو اے نگاہ والو،

Kanzul Iman — English

And had Allah not decreed exile for them, He would have surely punished them in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is the punishment of the fire.

اور اگر نہ ہوتا کہ اللہ نے ان پر گھر سے اجڑنا لکھ دیا تھا تو دنیا ہی میں ان پر عذاب فرماتا (ف۱۱) اور ان کے لیے (ف۱۲) آخرت میں آگ کا عذاب ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

This is because they remained opposed to Allah and His Noble Messenger; and whoever remains opposed to Allah, (and His Noble Messenger) – then indeed Allah’s punishment is severe.

یہ اس لیے کہ وہ اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے پھٹے (جدا) رہے (ف۱۳) اور جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے پھٹا رہے تو بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے،

The trees you had cut down or left standing on their roots was all by Allah’s permission, and in order to disgrace the sinners.

جو درخت تم نے کاٹے یا ان کی جڑوں پر قائم چھوڑ دیے یہ سب اللہ کی اجازت سے تھا (ف۱٤) اور اس لیے کہ فاسقوں کو رسوا کرے (ف۱۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

And from them, the booty which Allah gave to His Noble Messenger – so you had not raced your horses or camels against them, but it is Allah Who gives whomever He wills within the control of His Noble Messengers; and Allah is Able to do all things.

اور جو غنیمت دلائی اللہ نے اپنے رسول کو ان سے (ف۱٦) تو تم نے ان پر نہ اپنے گھوڑے دوڑائے تھے اور نہ اونٹ (ف۱۷) ہاں اللہ اپنے رسولوں کے قابو میں دے دیتا ہے جسے چاہے (ف۱۸) اور اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

The booty which Allah gave to His Noble Messenger from the people of the townships, is for Allah and His Noble Messenger, and for the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy and the travellers – so that it does not become the wealth of the rich among you; and accept whatever the Noble Messenger gives you; and refrain from whatever he forbids you; and fear Allah; indeed Allah’s punishment is severe.

جو غنیمت دلائی اللہ نے اپنے رسول کو شہر والوں سے (ف۱۹) وہ اللہ اور رسول کی ہے اور رشتہ داروں (ف۲۰) اور یتیموں اور مسکینوں اور مسافروں کے لیے کہ تمہارے اغنیا کا مال نہ جائے (ف۹۲۱ اور جو کچھ تمہیں رسول عطا فرمائیں وہ لو (ف۲۲) اور جس سے منع فرمائیں باز رہو، اور اللہ سے ڈرو (ف۲۳) بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے (ف۲٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

And (the booty is) also for the poor migrants who were expelled from their homes and their wealth, seeking Allah’s munificence and His pleasure, and aiding Allah and His Noble Messenger; it is they who are the truthful.

ان فقیر ہجرت کرنے والوں کے لیے جو اپنے گھروں اور مالوں سے نکالے گئے (ف۲۵) اللہ کا فضل (ف۲٦) اور اس کی رضا چاہتے اور اللہ و رسول کی مدد کرتے (ف۲۷) وہی سچے ہیں (ف۲۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

And those who accepted this city as their home and accepted faith before them, befriend those who migrated towards them, and in their breasts do not find any need for what they have been given, and prefer the migrants above themselves even if they themselves are in dire need; and whoever is saved from the greed of his soul – it is they who are the successful.

اور جنہوں نے پہلے سے (ف۲۹) اس شہر (ف۳۰) اور ایمان میں گھر بنالیا (ف۳۱) دوست رکھتے ہیں انہیں جو ان کی طرف ہجرت کرکے گئے (ف۳۲) اور اپنے دلوں میں کوئی حاجت نہیں پاتے (ف۳۳) اس چیز کو جو دیے گئے (ف۳٤) اور اپنی جانوں پر ان کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں (ف۳۵) اگرچہ انہیں شدید محتاجی ہو (ف۳٦) اور جو اپنے نفس کے لالچ سے بچایا گیا (ف۳۷) تو وہی کامیاب ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

And those who came after them say, “O our Lord! Forgive us, and our brothers who accepted faith before us, and do not keep any malice in our hearts towards the believers – O our Lord! Indeed You only are the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”.

اور وہ جو ان کے بعد آئے (ف۳۸) عرض کرتے ہیں اے ہمارے رب ہمیں بخش دے اور ہمارے بھائیوں کو جو ہم سے پہلے ایمان لائے اور ہمارے دل میں ایمان والوں کی طرف سے کینہ نہ رکھ (ف۳۹) اے ہمارے رب بیشک تو ہی نہایت مہربان رحم والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Did you not see the hypocrites, that they say to their disbelieving brothers among the People given the Book(s), “If you are expelled, then we will definitely go out with you, and we will not listen to anyone in your matters, and if you are fought against we will surely help you”; and Allah testifies that they are indeed liars.

کیا تم نے منافقوں کو نہ دیکھا (ف٤۰) کہ اپنے بھائیوں کافر کتابیوں (ف٤۱) سے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر تم نکالے گئے (ف٤۲) تو ضرور ہم تمہارے ساتھ جائیں گے اور ہرگز تمہارے بارے میں کسی کی نہ مانیں گے (ف٤۳) اور اگر تم سے لڑائی ہوئی تو ہم ضرور تمہاری مدد کریں گے، اور اللہ گواہ ہے کہ وہ جھوٹے ہیں (ف٤٤)

Kanzul Iman — English

If they are expelled, the hypocrites will not go out with them; and if they are fought against they will not help them; and even if they were to help them, they would turn their backs and flee; and then they will not be helped.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اگر وہ نکالے گئے (ف٤۵) تو یہ ان کے ساتھ نہ نکلیں گے، اور ان سے لڑائی ہوئی تو یہ ان کی مدد نہ کریں گے (ف٤٦) اگر ان کی مدد کی بھی تو ضرور پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگیں گے، پھر (ف٤۷) مدد نہ پائیں گے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Indeed in their hearts is a greater fear of you than that of Allah; this is because they are a people who do not understand.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک (ف٤۸) ان کے دلوں میں اللہ سے زیادہ تمہارا ڈر ہے (ف٤۹) یہ اس لیے کہ وہ ناسمجھ لوگ ہیں (ف۵۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

They will not fight you even if they all come together, except in barricaded cities or from behind walls; they are severe fighters among themselves; you will assume them to be one, whereas their hearts are divided; this is because they are a people who do not have any sense.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

یہ سب مل کر بھی تم سے نہ لڑیں گے مگر قلعہ بند شہروں میں یا دُھسّوں (شہر پناہ) کے پیچھے، آپس میں ان کی آنچ (جنگ) سخت ہے (ف۵۱) تم انہیں ایک جتھا سمجھو گے اور ان کے دل الگ الگ ہیں، یہ اس لیے کہ وہ بےعقل لوگ ہیں (ف۵۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

Like the example of those who were before them not long ago – they tasted the evil result of their deeds; and for them is a painful punishment.

ان کی سی کہاوت جو ابھی قریب زمانہ میں ان سے پہلے تھے (ف۵۳) انہوں نے اپنے کام کا وبال چکھا (ف۵٤) اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے (ف۵۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

The example of the devil – when he said to man “Disbelieve”; so when he has rejected faith, he says, “I am unconcerned with you – indeed I fear Allah, the Lord of The Creation.”

شیطان کی کہاوت جب اس نے آدمی سے کہا کفر کر پھر جب اس نے کفر کرلیا بولا میں تجھ سے الگ ہوں میں اللہ سے ڈرتا ہوں جو سارے جہان کا رب (ف۵٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

So the fate of them both is that they are both in the fire, to remain in it forever; and this is the proper punishment for the unjust.

تو ان دونوں کا (ف۵۷) انجام یہ ہوا کہ وہ دونوں آگ میں ہیں ہمیشہ اس میں رہے، اور ظالموں کو یہی سزا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! Fear Allah, and every soul must see what it has sent ahead for tomorrow; and fear Allah; indeed Allah is Aware of your deeds.

اے ایمان والو اللہ سے ڈرو (ف۵۸) اور ہر جان دیکھے کہ کل کے لیے آگے کیا بھیجا (ف۵۹) اور اللہ سے ڈرو (ف٦۰) بیشک اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے،

And do not be like those who forgot Allah – He therefore put them into hardship making them forget themselves; it is they who are the sinners.

اور ان جیسے نہ ہو جو اللہ کو بھول بیٹھے (ف٦۱) تو اللہ نے انہیں بلا میں ڈالا کہ اپنی جانیں یاد نہ رہیں (ف٦۲) وہی فاسق ہیں،

The People of hell and the People of Paradise are not equal; it is only the People of Paradise who have succeeded.

دوزخ والے (ف٦۳) اور جنت والے (ف٦٤) برابر نہیں جنت والے ہی مراد کو پہنچے،

Had We sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have then surely seen it bowed down, blown to bits by the fear of Allah; and We illustrate such examples for people, for them to ponder.

اگر ہم یہ قرآن کسی پہاڑ پر اتارتے (ف٦۵) تو ضرور تو اسے دیکھتا جھکا ہوا پاش پاش ہوتا اللہ کے خوف سے (ف٦٦) اور یہ مثالیں لوگوں کے لیے ہم بیان فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ سوچیں،

It is Allah, except Whom there is no God; the Knowing of all – the hidden and the evident; He only is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، ہر نہاں و عیاں کا جاننے والا (ف٦۷) وہی ہے بڑا مہربان رحمت والا،

It is Allah, except Whom there is no God; the King, the Pure, the Giver of Peace, the Bestower of Safety, the Protector, the Most Honourable, the Compeller, the Proud; Purity is to Allah from all what they ascribe as partners (to Him)!

وہی ہے اللہ جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں بادشاہ (ف٦۸) نہایت پاک (ف٦۹) سلامتی دینے والا (ف۷۰) امان بخشنے والا (ف۷۱) حفاظت فرمانے والا عزت والا عظمت والا تکبر والا (ف۷۲) اللہ کو پاکی ہے ان کے شرک سے،

Kanzul Iman — English

It is Allah only, Who is the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer of all – His only are all the good names; all whatever is in the heavens and in the earth proclaims His Purity; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise.

وہی ہے اللہ بنانے والا پیدا کرنے والا (ف۷۳) ہر ایک کو صورت دینے والا (ف۷٤) اسی کے ہیں سب اچھے نام (ف۷۵) اس کی پاکی بولتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! Do not befriend My and your enemy – you reveal secrets to them out of friendship whereas they disbelieve in the truth which has come to you! It is they who remove the Noble Messenger and you from your homes, upon your believing in Allah, your Lord; if you have come out to fight for My cause, and to gain My pleasure, then do not befriend them; you send them secret messages of friendship – and I well know all what you hide and all what you disclose; and whoever among you does it, has indeed strayed away from the right path.

اے ایمان والو میرے اور اپنے دشمنوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ (ف۲) تم انہیں خبریں پہنچاتے ہو دوستی سے حالانکہ وہ منکر ہیں اس حق کے جو تمہارے پاس آیا (ف۳) گھر سے جدا کرتے ہیں (ف٤) رسول کو اور تمہیں اس پر کہ تم اپنے رب پر ایمان لائے، اگر تم نکلے ہو میری راہ میں جہاد کرنے اور میری رضا چاہنے کو تو ان سے دوستی نہ کرو تم انہیں خفیہ پیامِ محبت بھیجتے ہو، اور میں خوب جانتا ہوں جو تم چھپاؤ اور جو ظاہر کرو، اور تم میں جو ایسا کرے بیشک وہ سیدھی راہ سے بہکا،

If they gain dominance over you they will be your enemies, and will extend their hands and their tongues towards you with evil, and they wish that in some way you turn disbelievers.

اگر تمہیں پائیں (ف۵) تو تمہارے دشمن ہوں گے اور تمہاری طرف اپنے ہاتھ (ف٦) اور اپنی زبانیں (ف۷) برائی کے ساتھ دراز کریں گے اور ان کی تمنا ہے کہ کسی طرح تم کافر ہوجاؤ (ف۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

Neither your relations nor your offspring will in the least benefit you, on the Day of Resurrection; He will separate you from them; and Allah is seeing your deeds.

ہرگز کام نہ آئیں گے تمہیں تمہارے رشتے اور نہ تمہاری اولاد (ف۹) قیامت کے دن، تمہیں ان سے الگ کردے گا (ف۱۰) اور اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھ رہا ہے،

Indeed in Ibrahim, and those along with him, lay a good example for you follow – when they said to their people, “Indeed we are unconcerned with you and all what you worship besides Allah; we reject you, and between us and you has surfaced enmity and hatred for ever until you accept faith in the One Allah” – except the saying of Ibrahim to his father, “I will surely seek forgiveness for you, and I do not possess any power to benefit you against Allah”; “O our Lord! We have relied only upon You, and towards You only we have inclined and only towards You is the return”.

بیشک تمہارے لیے اچھی پیروی تھی (ف۱۱) ابراہیم اور اس کے ساتھ والوں میں (ف۱۲) جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا (ف۱۳) بیشک ہم بیزار ہیں تم سے اور ان سے جنہیں اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہو، ہم تمہارے منکر ہوئے (ف۱٤) اور ہم میں اور تم میں دشمنی اور عداوت ظاہر ہوگئی ہمیشہ کے لیے جب تک تم ایک اللہ پر ایمان نہ لاؤ مگر ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ سے کہنا کہ میں ضرور تیری مغفرت چاہوں گا (ف۱۵) اور میں اللہ کے سامنے تیرے کسی نفع کا مالک نہیں (ف۱٦) اے ہمارے رب ہم نے تجھی پر بھروسہ کیا اور تیری ہی طرف رجوع لائے اور تیری ہی طرف پھرنا ہے (ف۱۷)

Kanzul Iman — English

“O our Lord! Do not put us into the trial of the disbelievers, and forgive us, O our Lord! Indeed You only are the Most Honourable, the Wise.”

اے ہمارے رب ہمیں کافروں کی آزمائش میں نہ ڈال (ف۱۸) اور ہمیں بخش دے، اے ہمارے رب بیشک تو ہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے،

Indeed in them lay a good example for you to follow – for one who looks forward to (meeting) Allah and the Last Day; and whoever turns away – then (know that) indeed Allah only is the Independent, the Most Praiseworthy.

بیشک تمہارے لیے (ف۱۹) ان میں اچھی پیروی تھی (ف۲۰) اسے جو اللہ اور پچھلے دن کا امیدوار ہو (ف۲۱) اور جو منہ پھیرے (ف۲۲) تو بیشک اللہ ہی بےنیاز ہے سب خوبیوں سراہا،

It is likely that Allah may create friendship between you and those among them who are now your enemies; and Allah is All Able; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

قریب ہے کہ اللہ تم میں اور ان میں جو ان میں سے (ف۲۳) تمہارے دشمن ہیں دوستی کردے (ف۲٤) اور اللہ قادر ہے (ف۲۵) اور بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

Allah does not forbid you from those who did not fight against you because of religion and did not drive you out from your homes, that you should be kind towards them and deal with them fairly; indeed the equitable are the beloved of Allah.

اللہ تمہیں ان سے (ف۲٦) منع نہیں کرتا جو تم سے دین میں نہ لڑے اور تمہیں تمہارے گھروں سے نہ نکالا کہ ان کے ساتھ احسان کرو اور ان سے انصاف کا برتاؤ برتو، بیشک انصاف والے اللہ کو محبوب ہیں،

Allah forbids you only from those who fought against you because of religion or drove you out from your homes or helped others to drive you out, that you should befriend them; and whoever befriends them – it is they who are the unjust.

اللہ تمہیں انہی سے منع کرتا ہے جو تم سے دین میں لڑے یا تمہیں تمہارے گھروں سے نکالا یا تمہارے نکالنے پر مدد کی کہ ان سے دوستی کرو (ف۲۷) اور جو ان سے دوستی کرے تو وہی ستمگار ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! When Muslim women leave the lands of disbelief and migrate towards you, examine them; Allah knows more about their faith; so if you judge the women to be believers, do not send them back to the disbelievers; neither are they lawful for the disbelievers, nor are the disbelievers lawful for them; and give their disbelieving husbands what they had spent; and there is no sin upon you to marry them if you give them their bridal money; and do not continue the marriage with disbelieving women – and ask for what you had spent, and the disbelievers may ask for what they had spent; this is Allah’s command; He judges between you; and Allah is All Knowing, Wise.

اے ایمان والو جب تمہارے پاس مسلمان عورتیں کفرستان سے اپنے گھر چھوڑ کر آئیں تو ان کا امتحان کرو (ف۲۸) اللہ ان کے ایمان کا حال بہتر جانتا ہے، پھر اگر تمہیں ایمان والیاں معلوم ہوں تو انہیں کافروں کو واپس نہ دو، نہ یہ (ف۲۹) انہیں حلال (ف۳۰) نہ وہ انہیں حلال (ف۳۱) اور ان کے کافر شوہروں کو دے دو جو ان کا خرچ ہوا (ف۳۲) اور تم پر کچھ گناہ نہیں کہ ان سے نکاح کرلو (ف۳۳) جب ان کے مہر انہیں دو (ف۳٤) اور کافرنیوں کے نکاح پر جمے نہ رہو (ف۳۵) اور مانگ لو جو تمہارا خرچ ہوا (ف۳٦) اور کافر مانگ لیں جو انہوں نے خرچ کیا (ف۳۷) یہ اللہ کا حکم ہے، وہ تم میں فیصلہ فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

And if some women go away from the Muslims to the disbelievers – then when you punish the disbelievers, give from the war booty to the Muslims who lost their wives the amount they had spent; and fear Allah in Whom you believe.

اور اگر مسلمانوں کے ہاتھ سے کچھ عورتیں کافروں کی طرف نکل جائیں (ف۳۸) پھر تم کافروں کو سزا دو (ف۳۹) تو جن کی عورتیں جاتی رہی تھیں (ف٤۰) غنیمت میں سے انہیں اتنا دیدو جو ان کا خرچ ہوا تھا (ف٤۱) اور اللہ سے ڈرو جس پر تمہیں ایمان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)! If Muslim women come humbly to you to take oath of allegiance that they will neither ascribe any partner to Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill their children, nor bring the lie that they carry between their hands and feet, nor disobey you in any rightful matter – then accept their allegiance and seek forgiveness from Allah for them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

اے نبی جب تمہارے حضور مسلمان عورتیں حاضر ہوں اس پر بیعت کرنے کو کہ اللہ کا کچھ شریک نہ ٹھہرائیں گی اور نہ چوری کریں گی اور نہ بدکاری اور نہ اپنی اولاد کو قتل کریں گی (ف٤۲) اور نہ وہ بہتان لائیں گی جسے اپنے ہاتھوں اور پاؤں کے درمیان یعنی موضع ولادت میں اٹھائیں (ف٤۳) اور کسی نیک بات میں تمہاری نافرانی نہ کریں گی (ف٤٤) تو ان سے بیعت لو اور اللہ سے ان کی مغفرت چاہو (ف٤۵) بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

O People who Believe! Do not befriend the people upon whom is Allah’s wrath – they have lost hope in the Hereafter the way the disbelievers have lost hope in the people of the graves.

اے ایمان والو ان لوگوں سے دوستی نہ کرو جن پر اللہ کا غضب ہے (ف٤٦) وہ آخرت سے آس توڑ بیٹھے ہیں (ف٤۷) جیسے کافر آس توڑ بیٹھے قبر والوں سے (ف٤۸)

How despicable it is in the sight of Allah that you may preach what you do not practice.

کیسی سخت ناپسند ہے اللہ کو وہ بات کہ وہ کہو جو نہ کرو،

Indeed Allah likes those who fight in His cause, positioned in rows, as if they were an edifice fortified.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

بیشک اللہ دوست رکھتا ہے انہیں جو اس کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں پرا (صف) باندھ کر گویا وہ عمارت ہیں رانگا پلائی (سیسہ پلائی دیوار) (ف۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

And remember when Moosa said to his people, “O my people! Why do you trouble me, whereas you know that I am Allah’s Noble Messenger towards you?” So when they deviated, Allah deviated their hearts; and Allah does not guide the sinning people.

اور یاد کرو جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا، اے میری قوم مجھے کیوں ستاتے ہو (ف٤) حالانکہ تم جانتے ہو (ف۵) کہ میں تمہاری طرف اللہ کا رسول ہوں (ف٦) پھر جب وہ (ف۷) ٹیڑھے ہوئے اللہ نے ان کے دل ٹیڑھے کردیے (ف۸) اور اللہ فاسق لوگوں کو راہ نہیں دیتا (ف۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

And remember when Eisa the son of Maryam said, “O Descendants of Israel! Indeed I am Allah’s Noble Messenger towards you, confirming the Book Torah which was before me, and heralding glad tidings of the Noble Messenger who will come after me – his name is Ahmed (the Praised One)”; so when Ahmed came to them with clear proofs, they said, “This is an obvious magic.”

اور یاد کرو جب عیسیٰ بن مریم نے کہا اے بنی اسرائیل میں تمہاری طرف اللہ کا رسول ہوں اپنے سے پہلی کتاب توریت کی تصدیق کرتا ہوا (ف۱۰) اور ان رسول کی بشارت سناتا ہوا جو میرے بعد تشریف لائیں گے ان کا نام احمد ہے (ف۱۱) پھر جب احمد ان کے پاس روشن نشانیاں لے کر تشریف لائے بولے یہ کھلا جادو،

Kanzul Iman — English

And who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah whereas he is being called towards Islam? And Allah does not guide the unjust people.

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے (ف۱۲) حالانکہ اسے اسلام کی طرف بلایا جاتا ہو (ف۱۳) اور ظالم لوگوں کو اللہ راہ نہیں دیتا،

They wish to put out Allah’s light with their mouths, whereas Allah will perfect His light even if the disbelievers get annoyed.

چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کا نور (ف۱٤) اپنے مونھوں سے بجھا دیں (ف۱۵) اور اللہ کو اپنا نور پورا کرنا پڑے برا مانیں کافر،

It is He Who has sent His Noble Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, in order that He may make it prevail over all other religions, even if the polytheists get annoyed.

وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور سچے دین کے ساتھ بھیجا کہ اسے سب دینوں پر غالب کرے (ف۱٦) پڑے برا مانیں مشرک،

O People who Believe! Shall I show you a trade that can save you from the painful punishment?

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اے ایمان والو (ف۱۷) کیا میں بتادوں وہ تجارت جو تمہیں دردناک عذاب سے بچالے (ف۱۸)

Have faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and fight in Allah’s cause with your wealth and your lives; this is better for you, if you understand.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

ایمان رکھو اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر اور اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے مال و جان سے جہاد کرو، یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے (ف۱۹) اگر تم جانو (ف۲۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

He will forgive you your sins and admit you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, and superb dwellings in everlasting Gardens of Eden; this is the greatest success.

وہ تمہارے گناہ بخش دے گا اور تمہیں باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں اور پاکیزہ محلوں میں جو بسنے کے باغوں میں ہیں، یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،

And He will give you another favour, which is dear to you – the help from Allah and an imminent victory; and O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), give glad tidings to the Muslims.

اور ایک نعمت تمہیں اور دے گا (ف۲۱) جو تمہیں پیاری ہے اللہ کی مدد اور جلد آنے والی فتح (ف۲۲) اور اے محبوب مسلمانوں کو خوشی سنادو (ف۲۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! Become the aides of Allah’s religion, the way Eisa the son of Maryam had said to the disciples, “Who will help me, inclining towards Allah?” The disciples said, “We are the aides of Allah’s religion” – so a group among the Descendants of Israel accepted faith and another group disbelieved; We therefore aided the believers against their enemies, so they were victorious.

اے ایمان والو دین خدا کے مددگار ہو جیسے (ف۲٤) عیسیٰ بن مریم نے حواریوں سے کہا تھا کون ہے جو اللہ کی طرف ہو کر میری مدد کریں حواری بولے (ف۲۵) ہم دین خدا کے مددگار ہیں تو بنی اسرائیل سے ایک گروہ ایمان لایا (ف۲٦) اور ایک گروہ نے کفر کیا (ف۲۷) تو ہم نے ایمان والوں کو ان کے دشمنوں پر مدد دی تو غالب ہوگئے (ف۲۸)

It is He Who has sent among the unlettered people a Noble Messenger from themselves, who recites His verses to them and purifies them, and bestows them the knowledge of the Book and wisdom; and indeed before this, they were in open error.

وہی ہے جس نے اَن پڑھوں میں انہی میں سے ایک رسول بھیجا (ف۳) کہ ان پر اس کی آیتیں پڑھتے ہیں (ف٤) اور انہیں پاک کرتے ہیں (ف۵) اور انہیں کتاب و حکمت کا علم عطا فرماتے ہیں (ف٦) اور بیشک وہ اس سے پہلے (ف۷) ضرور کھلی گمراہی میں تھے (ف۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

And he (the Holy Prophet) bestows knowledge to others along with them, who have not yet joined them; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise.

اور ان میں سے (ف۹) اوروں کو (ف۱۰) پاک کرتے اور علم عطا فرماتے ہیں، جو ان اگلوں سے نہ ملے (ف۱۱) اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے،

This is Allah’s munificence, which He may give to whomever He wills; and Allah is Extremely Munificent.

یہ اللہ کا فضل ہے جسے چاہے دے، اور اللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے (ف۱۲)

The example of those who were entrusted with the Taurat, and did not carry out its commands, is like the donkey carrying books; what a wretched example is of the people who denied the signs of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust.

ان کی مثال جن پر توریت رکھی گئی تھی (ف۱۳) پھر انہوں نے اس کی حکم برداری نہ کی (ف۱٤) گدھے کی مثال ہے جو پیٹھ پر کتابیں اٹھائے (ف۱۵) کیا ہی بری مثال ہے ان لوگوں کی جنہوں نے اللہ کی آیتیں جھٹلائیں، اور اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،

Say “O Jews! If you assume that you are Allah’s friends, others are not, then wish for death if you are truthful!”

تم فرماؤ اے یہودیو! اگر تمہیں یہ گمان ہے کہ تم اللہ کے دوست ہو اور لوگ نہیں (ف۱٦) تو مرنے کی آرزو کرو (ف۱۷) اگر تم سچے ہو (ف۱۸)

And they will never wish for it because of the misdeeds their hands have sent ahead; and Allah well knows the unjust.

اور وہ کبھی اس کی آرزو نہ کریں گے ان کوتکوں کے سبب جو ان کے ہاتھ آگے بھیج چکے ہیں (ف۱۹) اور اللہ ظالموں کو جانتا ہے،

Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Indeed death which you run away from will surely confront you, then you will be returned to Him Who knows all the hidden and the visible – He will then inform you of what you did.”

تم فرماؤ وہ موت جس سے تم بھاگتے ہو وہ تو ضرور تمہیں ملنی ہے (ف۲۰) پھر اس کی طرف پھیرے جاؤ گے جو چھپا اور ظاہر سب کچھ جانتا ہے پھر وہ تمہیں بتادے گا جو تم نے کیا تھا،

O People who Believe! When the call for prayer is given on (Friday) the day of congregation, rush towards the remembrance of Allah and stop buying and selling; this is better for you if you understand.

اے ایمان والو جب نماز کی اذان ہو جمعہ کے دن (ف۲۱) تو اللہ کے ذکر کی طرف دوڑو (ف۲۲) اور خرید و فروخت چھوڑ دو (ف۲۳) یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے اگر تم جانو،

Kanzul Iman — English

And when the prayer ends, spread out in the land and seek Allah’s munificence, and profusely remember Allah, in the hope of attaining success.

پھر جب نماز ہوچکے تو زمین میں پھیل جاؤ اور اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرو (ف۲٤) اور اللہ کو بہت یاد کرو اس امید پر کہ فلاح پاؤ،

And when they see some trade or sport, they move towards it and leave you standing delivering the sermon; proclaim, “That which is with Allah, is better than sport and trade; and the sustenance of Allah is the best.”

اور جب انہوں نے کوئی تجارت یا کھیل دیکھا اس کی طرف چل دیے (ف۲۵) اور تمہیں خطبے میں کھڑا چھوڑ گئے (ف۲٦) تم فرماؤ وہ جو اللہ کے پاس ہے (ف۲۷) کھیل سے اور تجارت سے بہتر ہے، اور اللہ کا رزق سب سے اچھا،

Kanzul Iman — English

When the hypocrites come in your presence (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) they say, “We testify that you surely are Allah’s Noble Messenger”; and Allah knows that you indeed are His Noble Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are indeed liars.

جب منافق تمہارے حضور حاضر ہوتے ہیں (ف۲) کہتے ہیں کہ ہم گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ حضور بیشک یقیناً اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور اللہ جانتا ہے کہ تم اس کے رسول ہو، اور اللہ گواہی دیتا ہے کہ منافق ضرور جھوٹے ہیں (ف۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

They have taken their oaths as a shield, thereby prevented others from Allah’s way; indeed they commit extremely evil deeds.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

اور انہوں نے اپنی قسموں کو ڈھال ٹھہرالیا (ف٤) تو اللہ کی راہ سے روکا (ف۵) بیشک وہ بہت ہی برے کام کرتے ہیں (ف٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

That is because they accepted faith with their tongues then disbelieved with their hearts, therefore their hearts were sealed – so now they do not understand anything.

یہ اس لیے کہ وہ زبان سے ایمان لائے پھر دل سے کافر ہوئے تو ان کے دلوں پر مہر کردی گئی تو اب وہ کچھ نہیں سمجھتے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And when you see them, their appearance would please you; and when they speak, you would listen carefully to their speech; like wooden blocks propped against the wall; they assume every cry to be against them; they are the enemy, so beware of them; may Allah slay them! Where are they reverting!

اور جب تو انہیں دیکھے (ف۷) ان کے جسم تجھے بھلے معلوم ہوں، اور اگر بات کریں تو تو ان کی بات غور سے سنے (ف۸) گویا وہ کڑیاں ہیں دیوار سے ٹکائی ہوئی (ف۹) ہر بلند آواز اپنے ہی اوپر لے جاتے ہیں (ف۱۰) وہ دشمن ہیں (ف۱۱) تو ان سے بچتے رہو (ف۱۲) اللہ انہیں مارے کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہیں (ف۱۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

And when it is said to them, “Come! Allah’s Noble Messenger may seek forgiveness for you” – they turn heads away, and you will see them turning away in pride.

اور جب ان سے کہا جائے کہ آؤ (ف۱٤) رسول اللہ تمہارے لیے معافی چاہیں تو اپنے سر گھماتے ہیں اور تم انہیں دیکھو کہ غور کرتے ہوئے منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں (ف۱۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

It is the same for them, whether you seek forgiveness for them or do not seek forgiveness for them; Allah will never forgive them; indeed Allah does not guide the sinning people.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

ان پر ایک سا ہے تم ان کی معافی چاہو یا نہ چاہو، اللہ انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا (ف۱٦) بیشک اللہ فاسقوں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،

Kanzul Iman — English

It is they who say, “Do not spend upon those who are with Allah’s Noble Messenger until they get distraught”; whereas to Allah only belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not have sense.

وہی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ان پر خرچ نہ کرو جو رسول اللہ کے پاس ہیں یہاں تک کہ پریشان ہوجائیں، اور اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں آسمانوں اور زمین کے خزانے (ف۱۷) مگر منافقوں کو سمجھ نہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

They say, “If we return to Medinah, then indeed the honourable group will soon expel the lowly one”; whereas all honour belongs to Allah and to His Noble Messenger and to the Muslims, but the hypocrites do not know.

کہتے ہیں ہم مدینہ پھر کر گئے (ف۱۸) تو ضرور جو بڑی عزت والا ہے وہ اس میں سے نکال دے گا اسے جو نہایت ذلت والا ہے (ف۱۹) اور عزت تو اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور مسلمانوں ہی کے لیے ہے مگر منافقوں کو خبر نہیں (ف۲۰)

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! May not your wealth or your children cause you to neglect the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does this – so it is they who are in a loss.

اے ایمان والو تمہارے مال نہ تمہاری اولاد کوئی چیز تمہیں اللہ کے ذکر سے غافل نہ کرے (ف۲۱) اور جو ایسا کرے (ف۲۲) تو وہی لوگ نقصان میں ہیں (ف۲۳)

Kanzul Iman — English

And spend from what We have provided you before death approaches any one of you and he then says, “My Lord! Why did you not give me respite for a little while, so I would have given charity and become of the virtuous?”

اور ہمارے دیے میں سے کچھ ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرو (ف۲٤) قبل اس کے کہ تم میں کسی کو موت آئے پھر کہنے لگے، اے میرے رب تو نے مجھے تھوڑی مدت تک کیوں مہلت نہ دی کہ میں صدقہ دیتا اور نیکوں میں ہوتا،

And Allah will never give respite to any soul when its promise arrives; and Allah is Aware of your deeds.

اور ہرگز اللہ کسی جان کو مہلت نہ دے گا جب اس کا وعدہ آجائے (ف۲۵) اور اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے،

All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah; His only is the kingship and His only is all praise; and He is Able to do all things.

اللہ کی پاکی بولتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں، اسی کا ملک ہے اور اسی کی تعریف (ف۲) اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے،

It is He Who has created you, so among you one is a disbeliever whereas another is a Muslim; and Allah is seeing your deeds.

وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں پیدا کیا تو تم میں کوئی کافر اور تم میں کوئی مسلمان (ف۳) اور اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھ رہا ہے،

He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and fashioned you thereby making you in best shapes; and towards Him only is the return.

اس نے آسمان اور زمین حق کے ساتھ بنائے اور تمہاری تصویر کی تو تمہاری اچھی صورت بنائی (ف٤) اور اسی کی طرف پھرنا ہے (ف۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

He knows all whatever is in the heavens and in the earth, and He knows all what you hide and all what you disclose; and Allah knows what lies within the hearts.

جانتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے اور جانتا ہے جو تم چھپاتے اور ظاہر کرتے ہو، اور اللہ دلوں کی بات جانتا ہے،

Did not the news of those who disbelieved before you reach you? So they tasted the evil outcome of their deeds, and for them is a painful punishment.

کیا تمہیں (ف٦) ان کی خبر نہ آئی جنہوں نے تم سے پہلے کفر کیا (ف۷) اور اپنے کام کا وبال چکھا (ف۸) اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے (ف۹)

This is because their Noble Messengers used to bring clear proofs to them, in response they said, “What! Will humans show us the way?”; they therefore became disbelievers and turned away, and Allah acted independently; and Allah is the Independent, the Most Praiseworthy.

یہ اس لیے کہ ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لاتے (ف۱۰) تو بولے، کیا آدمی ہمیں راہ بتائیں گے (ف۱۱) تو کافر ہوئے (ف۱۲) اور پھر گئے (ف۱۳) اور اللہ نے بےنیازی کو کام فرمایا، اور اللہ بےنیاز ہے سب خوبیوں سراہا،

Kanzul Iman — English

The disbelievers alleged that they will surely not be raised again; proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Surely yes, why not? By oath of Lord, you will surely be raised again and you will then be informed of your misdeeds; and this is easy for Allah.”

کافروں نے بکا کہ وہ ہرگز نہ اٹھائے جائیں گے، تم فرماؤ کیوں نہیں میرے رب کی قسم تم ضرور اٹھائے جاؤ گے پھر تمہارے کوتک تمہیں جتا دیے جائیں گے، اور یہ اللہ کو آسان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Therefore accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger and the light which We have sent down; and Allah is Well Aware of what you do.

تو ایمان لاؤ اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور اس نور پر (ف۱٤) جو ہم نے اتارا، اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے خبردار ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

The day when He will gather you, on the Day of Collective Assembly – that is the day when the loss of the losers will be laid bare; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, Allah will relieve him of his sins and admit him into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, for them to abide in it forever; this is the greatest success.

جس دن تمہیں اکٹھا کرے گا سب جمع ہونے کے دن (ف۱۵) وہ دن ہے ہار والوں کی ہار کھلنے کا (ف۱٦) اور جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے اور اچھا کام کرے اللہ اس کی برائیاں اتاردے گا اور اسے باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں کہ وہ ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں، یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And those who disbelieved and denied Our signs, are the people of the fire – to remain in it forever; and what a wretched outcome!

اور جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائیں وہ آگ والے ہیں ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں، اور کیا ہی برا انجام،

Kanzul Iman — English

No misfortune befalls except by Allah’s command; and Allah will guide the heart of whoever accepts faith in Him; and Allah knows all things.

کوئی مصیبت نہیں پہنچتی (ف۱۷) مگر اللہ کے حکم سے، اور جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے (ف۱۸) اللہ اس کے دل کو ہدایت فرمادے گا (ف۱۹) اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے،

And obey Allah and obey His Noble Messenger; then if you turn away, know that the duty upon Our Noble Messenger is only to plainly convey.

اور اللہ کا حکم مانو اور رسول کا حکم مانو، پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو (ف۲۰) تو جان لو کہ ہمارے رسول پر صرف صریح پہنچا دینا ہے (ف۲۱)

Allah – there is none worthy of worship except Him; and only upon Allah must the Muslims rely.

اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں اور اللہ ہی پر ایمان والے بھروسہ کریں،

O People who Believe! Some of your wives and children are your enemies, therefore be wary of them; and if you pardon and overlook and forgive, then indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Your wealth and your children are just a test; and with Allah is a tremendous reward.

تمہارے مال اور تمہارے بچے جانچ ہی ہیں (ف۲٤) اور اللہ کے پاس بڑا ثواب ہے (ف۲۵)

Therefore fear Allah as much as possible, and heed the commands, and obey, and spend in Allah’s cause, for your own good; and whoever is rescued from the greed of his own soul – is they who will be successful.

تو اللہ سے ڈرو جہاں تک ہوسکے (ف۲٦) اور فرمان سنو اور حکم مانو (ف۲۷) اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرو اپنے بھلے کو، اور جو اپنی جان کے لالچ سے بچایا گیا (ف۲۸) تو وہی فلاح پانے والے ہیں،

If you lend an excellent loan to Allah, He will double it for you and forgive you; and Allah is Most Appreciative, Most Forbearing.

اگر تم اللہ کو اچھا قرض دو گے (ف۲۹) وہ تمہارے لیے اس کے دونے کردے گا اور تمہیں بخش دے گا اور اللہ قدر فرمانے والے حلم والا ہے

The All Knowing of all things hidden and visible, the Most Honourable, the Wise.

ہر نہاں اور عیاں کا جاننے والا عزت والا حکمت والا،

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)! When you people divorce women, divorce them at the time of their completing the appointed period, and keep count of the appointed period; and fear Allah, your Lord; do not expel them from their houses during the appointed period nor should they leave on their own, unless they bring about some matter of blatant lewdness; and these are the limits of Allah; and whoever crosses Allah’s limits has indeed wronged himself; do you not know, it is likely that Allah may send some new decree after this?

اے نبی (ف۲) جب تم لوگ عورتوں کو طلاق دو تو ان کی عدت کے وقت پر انہیں طلاق دو اور عدت کا شمار رکھو (ف۳) اور اپنے رب اللہ سے ڈرو، عدت میں انہیں ان کے گھروں سے نہ نکالو اور نہ وہ آپ نکلیں (ف٤) مگر یہ کہ کوئی صریح بےحیائی کی بات لائیں (ف۵) اور یہ اللہ کی حدیں ہیں، اور جو اللہ کی حدوں سے آگے بڑھا بیشک اس نے اپنی جان پر ظلم کیا، تمہیں نہیں معلوم شاید اللہ اس کے بعد کوئی نیا حکم بھیجے (ف٦)

Kanzul Iman — English

So when they are about to reach their appointed term, hold them back with kindness or separate them with kindness, and make two just men among you as witnesses, and establish the testimony for Allah; with this is advised whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day; and whoever fears Allah – Allah will create for him a way of deliverance.

تو جب وہ اپنی میعاد تک پہنچنے کو ہوں (ف۷) تو انہیں بھلائی کے ساتھ روک لو یا بھلائی کے ساتھ جدا کرو (ف۸) اور اپنے میں دو ثقہ کو گواہ کرلو اور اللہ کے لیے گواہی قائم کرو (ف۹) اس سے نصیحت فرمائی جاتی ہے اسے جو اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو (ف۱۰) اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے (ف۱۱) اللہ اس کے لیے نجات کی راہ نکال دے گا (ف۱۲)

Kanzul Iman — English

And will provide him sustenance from a place he had never expected; and whoever relies on Allah – then Allah is Sufficient for him; indeed Allah will accomplish His command; indeed Allah has set a proper measure for all things.

اور اسے وہاں سے روزی دے گا جہاں اس کا گمان نہ ہو، اور جو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرے تو وہ اسے کافی ہے (ف۱۳) بیشک اللہ اپنا کام پورا کرنے والا ہے، بیشک اللہ نے ہر چیز کا ایک اندازہ رکھا ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

And for those of your women who have no hope of menstruation, if you doubt, the appointed period is three months – and also for those who have not yet had menstruation; and the appointed period for the pregnant women is up to the time they deliver their burden; and whoever fears Allah – Allah will create ease for him in his affairs.

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں جنہیں حیض کی امید نہ رہی (ف۱٤) اگر تمہیں کچھ شک ہو (ف۱۵) تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہے اور ان کی جنہیں ابھی حیض نہ آیا (ف۱٦) اور حمل والیوں کی میعاد یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنا حمل جَن لیں (ف۱۷) اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے اللہ اس کے کام میں آسانی فرمادے گا،

Kanzul Iman — English

This is Allah’s command that He has sent down towards you; and whoever fears Allah – Allah will relieve his sins and bestow upon him a great reward.

یہ (ف۱۸) اللہ کا حکم ہے کہ اس نے تمہاری طرف اتارا، اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے (ف۱۹) اللہ اس کی برائیاں اتار دے گا اور اسے بڑا ثواب دے گا،

Kanzul Iman — English

Accommodate them where you also reside, according to your means, and do not harass them to make it difficult upon them; and if they are pregnant, give them the provision till they deliver their burden; then if they suckle the child for you, pay them its due; and consult with each other in a reasonable manner; and if you create hardship for one another, the child will get another breast feeding nurse.

عورتوں کو وہاں رکھو جہاں خود رہتے ہو اپنی طاقت بھر (ف۲۰) اور انہیں ضرر نہ دو کہ ان پر تنگی کرو (ف۲۱) اور اگر (ف۲۲) حمل والیاں ہوں تو انہیں نان و نفقہ دو یہاں تک کہ ان کے بچہ پیدا ہو (ف۲۳) پھر اگر وہ تمہارے لیے بچہ کو دودھ پلائیں تو انہیں اس کی اجرت دو (ف۲٤) اور آپس میں معقول طور پر مشورہ کرو (ف۲۵) پھر اگر باہم مضائقہ کرو (دشوار سمجھو) (ف۲٦) تو قریب ہے کہ اسے اور دودھ پلانے والی مل جائے گی،

Kanzul Iman — English

Whoever has the capacity must give provisions according to his means; and the one whose sustenance is restricted upon him, must give provisions from what Allah has given him; Allah does not burden any soul except according to what He has given it; Allah will soon, after the hardship, create ease.

مقدور والا (ف۲۷) اپنے مقدور کے قابل نفقہ دے، اور جس پر اس کا رزق تنگ کیا گیا وہ اس میں سے نفقہ دے جو اسے اللہ نے دیا، اللہ کسی جان پر بوجھ نہیں رکھتا مگر اسی قابل جتنا اسے دیا ہے، قریب ہے اللہ دشواری کے بعد آسانی فرمادے گا (ف۲۸)

Kanzul Iman — English

And many a town existed that rebelled against the command of its Lord and His Noble Messengers, so We took a severe account from it – and struck them with a dreadful punishment.

اور کتنے ہی شہر تھے جنہوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم اور اس کے رسولوں سے سرکشی کی تو ہم نے ان سے سخت حساب لیا (ف۲۹) اور انہیں بری مار دی (ف۳۰)

They therefore tasted the evil outcome of their deeds, and the outcome of their deeds was a loss.

Kanzul Iman — Urdu

تو انہوں نے اپنے کیے کا وبال چکھا اور ان کے کام انجام گھاٹا ہوا،

Allah has kept prepared a severe punishment for them – therefore fear Allah, O men of intellect! O People who Believe! Allah has sent down a Remembrance (or an honour) for you. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.)

اللہ نے ان کے لیے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے تو اللہ سے ڈرو اے عقل والو! وہ جو ایمان لائے ہو، بیشک اللہ نے تمہارے لیے عزت اتاری ہے،

The Noble Messenger who recites the clear verses of Allah to you, so that he may take those who accept faith and do good deeds, away from the realms of darkness towards light; and whoever accepts faith in Allah and does good deeds, Allah will admit him into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them for ever and ever; indeed Allah has kept an excellent sustenance for him.

(۱۱ ) وہ رسول (ف۳۱) کہ تم پر اللہ کی روشن آیتیں پڑھتا ہے تاکہ انہیں جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے (ف۳۲) اندھیریوں سے (ف۳۳) اجالے کی طرف لے جائے، اور جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے اور اچھا کام کرے وہ اسے باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں جن میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں، بیشک اللہ نے اس کے لیے اچھی روزی رکھی ۔ (ف۳٤)

It is Allah Who has created the seven heavens, and seven earthly worlds like them; the command descends within them, so that you may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah’s knowledge encompasses everything.

اللہ ہے جس نے سات آسمان بنائے (ف۳۵) اور انہی کی برابر زمینیں (ف۳٦) حکم ان کے درمیان اترتا ہے (ف۳۷) تاکہ تم جان لو کہ اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے، اللہ کا علم ہر چیز کو محیط ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)! Why do you forbid for yourself the things that Allah has made lawful for you? You wish to please some of your wives; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

اے غیب بتانے والے ( نبی ) تم اپنے اوپر کیوں حرام کئے لیتے ہو وه چیز جو اللہ نے تمھارے لئے حلال کی (ف۲) اپنی بیبیوں کی مرضی چاہتے ہو اور اللہ بخشنے والا ٴ مہربان ہے،

Kanzul Iman — English

Allah has ordained expiation for your oaths; and Allah is your Master; and Allah is the All Knowing, the Wise.

بیشک اللہ نے تمہارے لیے تمہاری قسموں کا اتار مقرر فرمادیا (ف۳) اور اللہ تمہارا مولیٰ ہے، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

And when the Holy Prophet confided a matter to one of his wives; so when she disclosed it and Allah conveyed this to the Holy Prophet, he told her part of it and held back a part; so when the Holy Prophet informed her about it, she said, “Who informed you?”; he said, “The All Knowing, the All Aware has informed me.”

اور جب نبی نے اپنی ایک بی بی (ف٤) سے ایک راز کی بات فرمائی (ف۵) پھر جب وہ (ف٦) اس کا ذکر کر بیٹھی اور اللہ نے اسے نبی پر ظاہر کردیا تو نبی نے اسے کچھ جتایا اور کچھ سے چشم پوشی فرمائی (ف۷) پھر جب نبی نے اسے اس کی خبر دی بولی (ف۸) حضور کو کس نے بتایا، فرمایا مجھے علم والے خبردار نے بتایا (ف۹)

Kanzul Iman — English

If you both, the wives of the Holy Prophet, incline towards Allah, for indeed your hearts have deviated a little; and if you come together against him (the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him) then indeed Allah is his Supporter, and Jibreel and the virtuous believers are also his aides; and in addition the angels are also his aides. (Allah has created several supporters for the believers.)

نبی کی دونوں بیبیو! اگر اللہ کی طرف تم رجوع کرو تو (ف۱۰) ضرور تمہارے دل راہ سے کچھ ہٹ گئے ہیں (ف۱۱) اور اگر ان پر زور باندھو (ف۱۲) تو بیشک اللہ ان کا مددگار ہے اور جبریل اور نیک ایمان والے، اور اس کے بعد فرشتے مدد پر ہیں،

Kanzul Iman — English

It is likely that, if he divorces you, his Lord will give him wives better than you in your place -widows and maidens who are obedient, believing, respectful, penitent, serving and fasting.

ان کا رب قریب ہے اگر وہ تمہیں طلاق دے دیں کہ انہیں تم سے بہتر بیبیاں بدل دے اطاعت والیاں ایمان والیاں ادب والیاں (ف۱۳) توبہ والیاں بندگی والیاں (ف۱٤) روزہ داریں بیاہیاں اور کنواریاں (ف۱۵)

Kanzul Iman — English

O People who Believe! Save yourselves and your families from the fire, the fuel of which is men and stones – appointed over it are the extremely strict angels, who do not refuse the command of Allah and carry out whatever they are commanded.

اے ایمان والو! اپنی جانوں اور اپنے گھر والوں کو آگ سے بچاؤ (ف۱٦) جس کے ایندھن آدمی (ف۱۷) اور پتھر ہیں (ف۱۸) اس پر سخت کرّے (طاقتور) فرشتے مقرر ہیں (ف۱۹) جو اللہ کا حکم نہیں ٹالتے اور جو انہیں حکم ہو وہی کرتے ہیں (ف۲۰)

“O disbelievers! Do not feign excuses this day; you will only be repaid what you used to do.”

O People who Believe! Incline towards Allah in a repentance that becomes a guidance for the future; it is likely that your Lord will relieve you of your sins and admit you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow – on the day when Allah will not humble the Prophet and the believers along with him; their light will be running ahead of them and on their right; they will say, “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us; indeed You are Able to do all things.”

اے ایمان والو! اللہ کی طرف ایسی توبہ کرو جو آگے کو نصیحت ہوجائے (ف۲۲) قریب ہے تمہارا رب (ف۲۳) تمہاری برائیاں تم سے اتار دے اور تمہیں باغوں میں لے جائے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں جس دن اللہ رسوا نہ کرے گا نبی اور ان کے ساتھ کے ایمان والوں کو (ف۲٤) ان کا نور دوڑتا ہوگا ان کے آگے اور ان کے دہنے (ف۲۵) عرض کریں گے، اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے لیے ہمارا نور پورا کردے (ف۲٦) اور ہمیں بخش دے، بیشک تجھے ہر چیز پر قدرت ہے،

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), wage holy war against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be strict with them; and their destination is hell; and what a wretched outcome!

اے غیب بتانے والے! (نبی) (ف۲۷) کافروں پر اور منافقوں پر (ف۲۸) جہاد کرو اور ان پر سختی فرماؤ، اور ان کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے، اور کیا ہی برا انجام،

Allah illustrates the example of the disbelievers – the wife of Nooh and the wife of Lut; they were bonded in marriage to two of Our bondmen deserving Our proximity – they then betrayed them so they did not benefit them the least against Allah and it was declared, “Both of you women enter the fire, along with others who enter.”

اللہ کافروں کی مثال دیتا ہے (ف۲۹) نوح کی عورت اور لوط کی عورت، وہ ہمارے بندوں میں دو سزا وارِ (لائق) قرب بندوں کے نکاح میں تمہیں پھر انہوں نے ان سے دغا کی (ف۳۰) تو وہ اللہ کے سامنے انہیں کچھ کام نہ آئے اور فرما دیا گیا (ف۳۱) کے تم دونوں عورتیں جہنم میں جاؤ جانے والوں کے ساتھ (ف۳۲)

And Allah illustrates an example of the Muslims – the wife of Firaun; when she prayed, “My Lord! Build a house for me near You, in Paradise, and deliver me from Firaun and his works, and rescue me from the unjust people.”

And the example of Maryam the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity – We therefore breathed into her a Spirit from Ourselves – and she testified for the Words of her Lord and His Books, and was among the obedient.
